Dolly Parton has joined the pool of talented creators on the social media platform, TikTok. She announced the news on Twitter saying, “Better late than never.”

Since making her highly-anticipated appearance on the app, the hashtag “Dolly” has gained over 5 billion views and her number of followers continues to rise at a rapid pace. Plus, the country star has already earned plenty of exciting comments on her videos, giving her a warm welcome to the community.

Parton shared her first ever TikTok using her hit, “9 To 5” with the caption, “I have arrived! #heyitsdolly #dollytok” and another with the caption, “Better late than never!”

While she may not have had a profile on the platform until now, fans have still taken it upon themselves to show their love and support by continually circulating her music and legendary career. In addition to “9 to 5,” several of Parton’s fan favorites like “Jolene” and her chart-topping duet with the late, great Kenny Rogers, “Islands In The Stream,” have each been used on thousands of video creations.

With her grand entrance also comes her sweet single, “Berry Pie,” which was added to the app exclusively in partnership with SoundOn, TikTok’s music marketing and distribution platform.

This exciting news comes just days after Parton’s highly anticipated new Christmas movie, Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas, premiered on NBC. The two-hour holiday special features special guests Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jimmie Allen, Zach Williams, and Miley Cyrus.

In addition, several actors have also joined the cast including Tom Everett Scott, Angel Parker and Ana Gasteyer costarring alongside Parton.

Earlier this year, the country star and a few of her fellow cast members were seen filming for the new movie in several different parts of her Dollywood Amusement Park located in Pigeon Forge, TN. During a recent interview on Proud Radio with Hunter Kelly on Apple Music Country, Parton explained why she decided to showcase the popular park in this project.

“Well, I wanted to do Dollywood. I wanted to do a special, the movie, from home and in the Smokies. And of course Dollywood’s set up for everything,” she explained. “Everything we did, we had either a stage for it or an area like the Soda Shop with Jimmy or the Old Grist Mill with Willie. All over the park. Or with Zach Williams, we did it in the Robert F. Thomas Chapel that we moved over to the park, the doctor that delivered me when I was little, on a horseback road back in there. But the park was just perfect.”

Parton added, “Plus we have great dancers, great musicians, great singers, great performers of every kind. And they look good and they do great. And I thought, ‘Well, why not just use the best of all we’ve got and use the whole park?’ And it turned out great. The NBC was totally floored with all the great things that they got. And same with Sam Haskell and all of our Hollywood people that wanted the special to be over the top. And that’s what the theme of the show, of me trying to keep it where it’s still down home and fun instead of getting over the top. I’d say things like, ‘This is Dollywood, not Hollywood. This is Mountain Magic, not Magic Mountain.’ And the acting part is me trying to keep it all sane.”

The magic continues with the East Tennessee native’s extended holiday project, A Holly Dolly Christmas: Ultimate Deluxe Edition, which was released on Oct. 14. This collection features new additions such as her previous classic, “A Smoky Mountain Christmas.”

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year! A Holly Dolly Christmas Ultimate Deluxe is coming October 14th, and to celebrate, I’m sharing my previously unreleased track “A Smoky Mountain Christmas” today!” Parton shared on Twitter ahead of the release.

Once the Christmas season ends, Parton will be kicking things off as co-host for this year’s “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party” alongside her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus.

Their announcement came in the form of a video as they sat decked out for an evening of fun and were surrounded by what looks to be a New Year’s Eve party equipped with streamers, champagne and plenty of glam.

“’Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party’ is about getting glamorous and dressing your best,” Cyrus said in the video earning a response from Parton who said “Well, we do that every day, don’t we, Miley?”

The “Wrecking Ball” singer added, “you taught me well.”

The celebration is said to feature an A-list lineup of musical performances and special guests, which have yet to be revealed.

“Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party” will air live on NBC from Miami on Saturday, Dec. 31 from 10:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET and will also stream live on Peacock.
