Dylan Marlowe and Dylan Scott are showcasing all the rowdy, countryside fun that was had on the set of the music video for their collaborative single, “Boys Back Home,” in a brand-new behind-the-scenes video released exclusively on Country Now.
The clip opens with the country crooners letting their vibrant personalities run wild through a series of outtakes that finds them attempting to describe the lively bonfire setting behind them.
“We’re out here shooting the music video to ‘Boys Back Home.’ We got all the boys and girls here tonight,” Scott tells the viewers before adding a bit of sarcasm as he says, “Ain’t having no fun.”
Race Cars, Four-Wheelers And More
The footage then cuts to the beginning of the set day when “all the boys are showin’ up” to some open land in Middle Tennessee in their pickup trucks that make an appearance throughout the video. The excitement continues to build when the bikes, race cars, and four-wheelers come out to play.
“It’s just flippin’ crazy out here,” Marlowe said with a laugh about the previous clip that showed one of the four-wheelers getting pushed right side up after being flipped over.
It’s evident in the new behind-the-scenes footage that those on set truly had the time of their lives executing the song’s upbeat tribute to the irreplaceable feeling of a southern night spent with your hometown crowd where keg stands, beer pong and wheelbarrow races are a must. Marlowe and Scott happily joined in on all the antics, even the more dangerous moments like fire breathing.
A few fellow country stars including Tayler Holder and Russell Dickerson also bring their good energy and a bit of extra chaos onto the scene with their surprise cameos throughout the video.

A “Redneck Rager On Steroids”
“The boys brought the energy, just a whole bunch of redneck stuff. We hope you love the cameos, the surprises. Hope y’all have as much fun as we did,” said director Tristan Cusick, who revealed via social media that his vision for the video was to throw a “redneck rager on steroids.”
“I think we nailed it,” he proudly declared.
In the official music video, which dropped at the beginning of February, Marlowe tackles the opening verse of the upbeat tune before Scott enters with his Louisiana twang.
“Yeah, here’s to the boys back home/ Drinking dirt road beers/ On a Friday night/ Yeah, I’m wishing I was with y’all/ Singing them old songs/ Trucks circled up ’round a farm fire/ Putting paint on that small town/ Turning dirt into them dust clouds/ Hell yeah, it’s been too long/ This one right here’s to the boys back home,” Marlowe and Scott sing on the chorus.
Co-penned by Marlowe with Joe Fox and Seth Ennis, “Boys Back Home,” is currently impacting country radio now and has over 35 million total global streams to date.
“I wrote ‘Boys Back Home’ with Joe Fox and Seth Ennis because I got homesick when I moved to Nashville and missed all of my friends back home,” Marlowe said while recounting the story behind the song.
