Rising country star Josh Phillips just released an acoustic performance video for his song “Tonight Ain’t The Day,” and fans can view it here, exclusively on Country Now.
In the just-released clip, the North Carolina native is seen seated on a stool in a dimly lit, empty bar. He begins strumming on his guitar before chiming in with the lyrics, which find him putting off his responsibilities for another time.
“Someday I probably oughta slow down/ Livin’ in this cold beer haze/ Watch who I hang around, what comes out my mouth/ Yeah I damn sure oughta do that someday,” he begins.
The upbeat anthem, which is all about living in the moment, has become a fan-favorite during Phillips’ live shows.
“This has always been one of my favorite songs,” he shares with Country Now. “I love playing it live and I love people’s response to it. There are a lot of things we can think of that we want or need to change but it’s all about the timing – and tonight just ain’t the day for a lot of it. Ha!”
“Tonight Ain’t The Day” is featured on Phillips’ self-titled EP, which was released earlier this year. Phillips co-wrote the song alongside Brian Davis and Randy Montana.
