Mitchell Tenpenny has already released the accompanying video for his current single, “To Us It Did.” And now, he’s sharing a deeper look into the video shoot and song in a brand new behind-the-scenes clip premiering exclusively on Country Now.

This special Behind the Scenes Facts clip offers insight into the song and music video. For example, he shot the video with some of his best buddies and members of his family. Going into the backstories of people who made a cameo in the clip, viewers learn that Tenpenny’s friends include his trusty guitar player Dylan and his girlfriend Ana, songwriter Dallas Wilson, longtime collaborator Jordan Schmidt and many, many others.

Tenpenny worked with producer Dustin Haney on the video, and each aspect of the clip was intentional. The video was filmed at the Old Nashville Zoo location in Joelton, Tennessee, where Tenpenny used to go as a kid. Throughout the visual display, the singer/songwriter can be found performing the lyrics of the nostalgic song with an acoustic guitar in hand from the bed of his truck. His buddies, meanwhile, gather all around him with red solo cups in hand, providing viewers with ultimate summertime vibes.

“It feels so good to put out new songs for my fans,” Mitchell previously shared. “Continuing to write and record over the past year has kept me sane, and finally being able to play some of these new tunes at shows has been a long time coming!”

Tenpenny wrote “To Us It Did” with Michael Hardy and Schmidt. The track is his second original song of 2021, following fan-favorite “Bucket List.”
