Taryn Papa doesn’t need money to feel rich when she has the perfect kind of love to get her through. She shares that perspective in her brand new track, “Gold Mine,” premiering exclusively for readers of Country Now

Penned by Garrett Jacobs, Jay Clementi, and Abram Dean, this pop/country tune, available everywhere on Friday (Sept. 8), takes listeners through the story of a woman who has been down on her luck to the point where she thinks about giving up on romance. But just when she is sure she is done searching for Mr. Right, the man she considers her gold mine comes along and changes everything.

Oh my / Think I found a gold mine / Where you been my whole life? / I was pinching pennies / Now it’s raining bennies,” the multi-talented entertainer sings clever lyrics alongside a stomping, hard to miss rhythm. “I know anywhere that we go / I’ll be on your payroll / Kiss is money / Sweet as honey / Keep ‘em coming / Gonna get rich off your love / Got that million dollar touch / Baby, look at you shine / Think I found a gold mine.”

Sonically, Papa grabs listeners right off the bat, hooking them with a portion of the chorus before heading into the first verse. Produced by Aaron Chafin, the energetic tune taps into Papa’s country and pop sides with her honeyed vocals, delivering the lyrics over fiddles, banjos, and fresh blues guitar licks.

“Gold Mine” is the follow-up to Papa’s recently released debut EP Awake, which earned her hundreds of thousands of streams, according to a press release. Ahead of her release, Papa took to Instagram, where she shared her enthusiasm for “Gold Mine” with her more than 27k followers.

“Getting ready for “Gold Mine”! ✨ Out Sept. 08! Pre-save / Pre-add my new single at the link in my bio! #goldmine #newmusic #countrypop,” she captioned a post, showcasing the stunning gold-colored dress that she sports for the single cover art.

Of her newest track, Papa tells Country Now, “I’m so excited to release “Gold Mine!” It’s the first single I am releasing that I haven’t written, but when I heard it, I just knew I had to cut it. It follows the theme of new love expressed in my debut EP AWAKE and will have you dancing around the room and singing along.”

“Gold Mine” arrives as Papa is scheduled to begin her first-ever shows in Europe. The Connecticut native is gearing up to headline the “Nashville Nights Songwriters Festival” in Odense, Denmark this fall, with dates running from Sept. 15-17. Papa will headline all three nights of the highly anticipated event.
