Kimberly Perry is officially a mom! The singer/songwriter introduced her newborn son to fans early Thursday morning (Sept. 7) on social media.

Alongside a sweet mother/son snapshot, Perry revealed that the baby’s name is Whit Costello and that he was born on August 26, 2023 at 4:01 pm. Arriving at 7 lbs, 8 oz, Whit was born in Nashville, Tennessee.

“In one short week Johnny and I have moved from a season of BLOOM into a SUPERBLOOM,” Perry captioned her post.

She went on to add, “Our lives have become sweeter, our days have become so much fuller, our sleep has gotten shorter – our house has truly become a home.”

She thanked her followers and fans for all the “prayers and well wishes” and promised to bring him on the road in the future.

“It’s been such a sweet time getting baby Whit here safely and soundly and acclimating as a new family. We can’t wait to show him the world – this bus baby is ready to roll!”

Kimberly Perry and her husband Johnny Costello announced they were expecting their first child in April of 2023.

The former member of The Band Perry took to social media at the time to tell fans that she and Costello will welcome their first child this summer.

“The best news of all the good news lately,” Perry began. “I’m OVERFLOWING WITH JOY to share that Johnny and I are expecting our first baby in late August!! We’re absolutely beside ourselves with happiness and in awe of the Creator’s plan.”

She went on to explain that having children is something she “dreamed” about for a long time.

“Building my own family is something I’ve dreamed about for as long as I can remember,” Perry continued. “As a woman and as an artist, I’ve always felt like I had to make a choice between growing my career and growing life. But YALL – I’m doin’ em both at the SAME TIME!! Here we go! 🤍🤍🫶🫶 We’ll keep updating with more BB Costello news as we get it. Can’t wait to celebrate this new life with all of you and to welcome this little bundle of love to our world.”

Johnny also took to social media to share his excitement.

“Yall!!!!! We’ve got some fun fun fun family news!!! WE ARE HAVING A BABY IN AUGUST!! We are so excited to be parents and can’t wait for little Harper Lee to have a sibling!!! 🤍”

Perry and Costello secretly tied the knot during a private ceremony in Las Vegas in June of 2021. The pair revealed the news of their private marriage on Instagram on their six-month wedding anniversary.

“Wishing everyone a very MARRIED Christmas,” Perry shared at the time. “Today my love, @juannycostello, and I are celebrating 6 months since “I do!”. On June 17th we hit the road from LA to Las Vegas in a black corvette and got married at midnight,” recalled the Tennessee native. “It was wild and wonderful and reminded me all over again that God is the most glorious creator and the master of the most beautiful blueprint for our lives! I love you Johnny and can’t wait for forever….”

In August of 2022, Perry and Costello returned to Sin City for an intimate vow renewal. “I do. Still do. Will do,” she wrote on Instagram at the time with a snapshot of her in a white wedding dress and cowboy hat alongside her husband, Johnny Costello, and an Elvis impersonator.

The pair renewed their vows at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, the iconic venue where celebrities such as Britney Spears, Michael Jordan, Frank Sinatra and over 800,000 other couples tied the knot. Most recently, Jennifer Lopez married Ben Affleck at the venue, which is best known as the site of quick celebrity weddings.

Not much else is known about Johnny Costello. His social media profiles reveal nothing more than the fact that he is married to Kimberly Perry.

This is Perry’s second marriage. She previously wed former MLB player J.P. Arencibia in June of 2014.

Prior to announcing that she was pregnant, Kimberly Perry revealed that she would be pursuing a solo career following the disbanding of The Band Perry. At the time she also announced that she inked a record deal with Records Nashville/Columbia Records.

Since signing the record deal, Perry has gone on to release her first-ever solo EP, Bloom, which features her debut single as a solo artist, “If I Die Young Pt. 2,” a reimagined rendition of The Band Perry’s 7x Platinum hit, “If I Die Young.”
