Accompanied by her band, Y’all, Clarkson effortlessly belted out the lyrics to the beloved country ballad.

Fans flocked to the comments section on YouTube to praise her rendition of the country hit.

“Here comes my Queen the best vocalist on the planet just slaying everything. She literally has limitless talents,” wrote one user, while another begged her to team up with Keith Urban for a duet.

“Raining On Sunday” was written by Radney Foster and Darrell Brown. It was originally recorded by Foster in 1999 for her album, See What You Want To See. His version of the song featured background vocals from Darius Rucker.

The track was made famous by Urban, who covered it on his 2022 album, Golden Road. He released “Raining On Sunday” as the second single from the project and it claimed the charts at country radio, making its way into the Top 5.

Clarkson shares a variety of covers during the “Kellyoke” segment of her show, including a recent rendition of Blake Shelton‘s “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking” and Faith Hill‘s “Let’s Go To Vegas.”

She has previously performed songs such as Billy Currington’s “Let Me Down Easy,” Faith Hill’s “It Matters To Me,” Pam Tillis’ “Maybe It Was Memphis,” Wynonna’s “No One Else On Earth” and Jo Dee Messina’s “Heads Carolina, Tails California.

Other “Kellyoke” segments have also featured covers of Blake Shelton, Johnny Cash, Lady A, Rascal Flatts, Travis Tritt, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood and Kelsea Ballerini (just to name a few).
