Canadian-born country singer MacKenzie Porter has been taking the industry by storm.
She joined Dustin Lynch on the infectious “Thinking ‘Bout You” earlier this year and the song became the most-added single on U.S. radio for two consecutive weeks. In just a few months following this release, Porter’s platinum-selling single, “These Days” reached No. 1 in Australia and earned a 2021 SOCAN Award in Canada.
Along with her international success, Porter recently completed the final episode of THE LOFT SESSIONS with her sincere ballad, “The One.” She kicked off the extension of the three-week series with the title track, “Drinkin’ Songs” off her Juno-nominated album, Drinkin’ Songs: The Collection.
Based out of the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN and directed by Caleb Donato, this series began in 2019 with the single that led Porter to receive her first top 40 at U.S. radio, her hit song, “These Days.”
As she prepares to join Jordan Davis on the road this coming fall on his “Buy Dirt” tour, Porter plans to release a few covers in the coming weeks. Most recently, she premiered her cover of Harry Styles’ worldwide hit “Watermelon Sugar,” on BBC Radio 2 with UK radio host Bob Harris.
