Gabby Barrett Announces First Christmas Album, ‘Carols And Candlelight,’ Teases Festive New Track, ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’
The new song will debut Oct. 25, giving fans an early look into the project.

Gabby Barrett gearing up for the holiday spirit with her first-ever Christmas album , Carols and Candlelight, set to drop on November 8. To celebrate the upcoming release, Barrett will be giving fans an early gift – a sneak peek at the project with the first track, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” debuting this Friday (Oct. 25).
The Warner Music Nashville star is eager to share her collection of handpicked classics dedicated to the season that is so important to her as a devoted Christian and chart-topping country artist.
“If you know me, you know that Christmas is my FAVORITE time of the year… so I have been so excited to announce my new Christmas album, Carols and Candlelight, will be available everywhere on 11.8 AND the first song release, ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas,’ is coming out THIS Friday, 10.25!” shared Barrett on Instagram. “I know we’re close to Halloween, but my heart is in HOLIDAY MODE!!!!!”
Her spirited, country music sound will come to life throughout 11 tracks that capture the magic of the Christmas season and highlight the true meaning of the holiday that extends far beyond the gifts and parties.
Fans will hear Christmastime favorites like “The First Noel” and “Last Christmas,” along with lively collaborations with her husband Cade Foehner on “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” and The Piano Guys on “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.”
Also included in the album is the powerful “Go Tell It On The Mountain” (for KING & COUNTRY feat. Gabby Barrett), which was nominated for Christmas Recorded Song of the Year at the 55th Annual GMA Dove Awards in October. Barrett joined forces with the duo as a presenter during the award show, which took place at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena in Nashville, TN.

This news comes hot on the heels the release of Gabby Barrett’s first single sent to Contemporary Christian radio as a solo artist, “Jesus On A Train.” This soulful tune was plucked from her sophomore album, Chapter& Verse, and released to stations across the nation. This follows previous CCM collaborations like “Build A Boat” (Colton Dixon feat. Gabby Barrett) – which was nominated at the 10th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards for Song of the Year – and Barrett’s “Got Me (feat. Shane & Shane).”
On November 13, the American Idol alum will host her GIVING FOR GOOD SHOW at the CMA Theater inside Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. She will be joined by special guest Rachel Purcell and proceeds from the show will benefit MURPHSLIFE. Tickets are on sale now HERE.
