Since July 2016, Garth Brooks has held a weekly Monday series dubbed, “Inside Studio G,” where he chats with fans and shares an exclusive look inside his musical journey. After eight successful years, the country icon has announced that the popular series will come to an end later this year.

He explained that the show will likely wrap in the wintertime but gave no specific reason for his decision.

“I think we’re going to put an end to Inside Studio G this year, probably sometime around Christmas,” Brooks revealed in his statement on Monday, July 15.

“Inside Studio G” first started out on the Oklahoma native’s official Facebook page and SiriusXM and now airs on his website and The Garth Channel on TuneIn. Over the past eight years, fans have come to love the show as it gave them a chance to connect with their favorite country star on a more intimate level. He has used this platform to host songwriting sessions, share stories behind some of his biggest hits, reflect on iconic moments and more. Brooks’ wife, Trisha Yearwood, even joined the show from time to time.

Garth Brooks To Be Honored as Austin City Limits Hall Of Fame Inductee

In better news, Garth Brooks is gearing up to help kick off Austin City Limits 50th anniversary year by appearing as an honoree and performer at the 10th anniversary Hall of Fame celebration. This will mark the first time in a decade that only one inductee will be honored at the ACL Hall of Fame celebration. The event is open to the public and will take place September 5, 2024, at ACL’s studio home, ACL Live at The Moody Theater in downtown Austin.

“To be part of anything Austin City Limits is and always has been an honor,” Brooks said in a statement. “I am humbled and grateful to not only be a part of the 50th Anniversary, but to be inducted into the ACL Hall of Fame is over the top.”

The “Friends In Low Places” singer has a longstanding relationship with Austin City Limits. He made his debut on the program in 1990 and later made a pair of appearances when he opened and closed the 25th anniversary season. This year, his induction will air as a special hour-long broadcast of Austin City Limits, serving as a highlight of the program’s golden anniversary Season 50, which premieres on September 28, 2024, on PBS.

A limited number of tickets will be on sale August 2 at acltv.com/hall-of-fame via AXS ticketing.
