After a relentless year on the road, Gavin Adcock is already thinking about all the exciting things on his radar in 2026, including a stadium run and a new project that will show fans a more vulnerable side to his artistry.

The rising country star played an impressive 102 shows this year alone, and even with that packed schedule, he’s still finding time to dig deeper creatively and personally. Typically, going to a Gavin Adcock concert means it’s going to be a rowdy night full of party songs, wild onstage antics and high-energy performances, however his new song indicates that the rising star is ready to dive deeper with themes of vulnerability, faith, and honesty.

“It’s about my faith in Jesus. And it’s not for the perfect Christians out there, but for people that need a little help, need a little work just like me,” he admitted to Country Now while caching up backstage of the CMA Awards.

That openness marks a shift from his previous project, Own Worst Enemy, which he describes as being filled with songs centered on “self-destruction” and included a bit more chaos. While he’s proud of that album, Adcock explains some of the other songs he had stored up didn’t fit into the same category.

“Well, I wrote a bunch of songs over my career and I love writing, and last album was just a lot of self-destruction songs about just getting to a point where you need to be this vulnerable person and some of these songs just don’t belong on that last album. So they belong on their own project and their own group of songs, so they’re not overshadowed by anything.”

After dropping that collection, Adcock went several months without sharing any new music, something he said made him very eager to share what he’s been working on, especially since he’s writing at a rapid pace.

“I was like, dang, I got to get back out there,” he said. “I’m writing an average of a song a week. Sometimes I hit three or four songs a week. I just have a good run. And I mean, we’ve got 115 songs sitting around.”

While there’s been no official confirmation of a new album, it’s clear that the Georgia native has been working hard behind the scenes to prepare a fresh collection for his listeners. Plus, he will get the chance to showcase as much new music as he wants while serving as support for select dates of Morgan Wallen’s Still The Problem Tour in 2026.

“We’re just going to play as many of the heaters as possible and if we got new songs coming out, we’re going to definitely be playing those,” he teased. “And I try to play what the people like…and then I’ll take a handful that I like personally and throw in there some of the old stuff from 2021. I would still like to pull a few of those out for the fans that have been with me this whole time. So just a little bit of everything.”

Adcock admitted he is especially looking forward to this run as they will be performing in various stadiums around the U.S., including a familiar field for him, Clemson Memorial Stadium in Clemson, SC.

“Yeah, I’m excited. I played football in college and we played Clemson in 2018. And that was Clemson’s national championship team. So it is going to be cool to go back in there as an artist and play a stadium.”

Gavin Adcock is done performing in 2025, but he will pick things back up again in February with a few festival appearances in the spring before joining Wallen on the highly-anticipated trek.
