When Blake Shelton‘s Friends and Heroes Tour rolled through Nashville last week, the superstar was surprised with a new career milestone and his wife, Gwen Stefani, was by his side to celebrate.
Prior to Shelton’s headlining show at Music City’s Bridgestone Arena, Shelton’s longtime label, Warner Music Nashville, surprised him with a giant plaque commemorating 20 years of hit records. The plaque featured all of Shelton’s singles to date and honored his 13 million RIAA Album Awards and 52 million RIAA singles.
Stefani captured the surprise moment on Instagram stories and later shared a few photos from the occasion on her feed.
“Congratulations to this guy @blakeshelton this is pretty unbelievable! 👊🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻,” Stefani captioned her post.

Several of the couple’s friends took a moment to congratulate Shelton on the milestone, including RaeLynn, The Swon Brothers and Clint Bowyer.
“Wait? What? You’re the Eminem of Country! Congrats buddy,” he wrote.

Stefani has been popping up at several of Shelton’s headlining shows, joining him on stage to sing their chart-topping duets, “Nobody But You” and “Happy Anywhere.” She even joined him in Nashville and documented the moment on Instagram.
“It’s hard to explain what it feels like to get up on stage w @blakeshelton and sing 2 number one country radio hits Live in Nashville, she wrote. “Never saw it coming but wow I’ll take it!”
Shelton’s Friends and Heroes Tour is scheduled to run through October 2. Click HERE for a list of the remaining tour dates.
