On Saturday night (Oct. 15), Jelly Roll took the stage in Las Vegas as part of Fremont Street Experience’s free concert series. Not only was this a special night because of the sold-out crowd, but it was also set on 3rd street, which is where the star met his wife, Bunnie.
Following his performance, Jelly Roll took to social media to share a couple of heartfelt photos that captured the couple’s joy as they returned to this momentous spot.
“I’ll never forget that night on Fremont street that I met you standing by the bar at what was then called the “LVCS”(las Vegas country saloon),” he began in his caption. “7 years later to stand on that same street right after we played one of the biggest shows they’ve had on Fremont Street is a feeling I’ll never forget.”
Jelly Roll went on to reminisce about their wedding day that was celebrated in the same city six years ago and expressed his gratitude towards the place that brought them together at a time they both needed it.
“I would end up marrying you in the same city we met, your hometown, Las Vegas. I remember vividly where we were in our lives back then. Both coming out of toxic relationships. Both struggling to find our way in life. I always knew when we can back to Vegas it would be the homecoming you always deserved and the one I’ve always dreamed of… thank you Vegas, we will cherish this one forever. May the next one be even bigger and crazier,” he said in conclusion.
Bunnie quickly took to the comments and added a passionate response to her husband’s loving words.
“I just love YOU!! I knew you were so special then & now sharing you w the world makes my heart explode w/ so much love & pride. I can’t wait to see where the next 7 years takes us baby! Thank you for betting on me.. I’ve forever told you the house always wins & that’s all we’ve done since we met. Sincerely, your ace in the hole,” she wrote.
The lovebirds recently celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary on Wednesday (Aug. 31) and once again, the “Son Of A Sinner” singer and Bunnie each took to social media to share a few words to commemorate this important chapter of their lives.
Jelly Roll confessed that stumbling into the courthouse intoxicated and saying “I do” was the “wildest decision” he’s ever made, but it turned out to be the “best decision” he’s ever made.
He then thanked her for being a great bonus mom to his daughter, Bailee, who recently started high school.
“Thank you for raising Bailee as is she was your own. Thank you for standing by me when the monsters attacked and fighting the demons with me. Thank you ram love. Thank you for smile and constantly being that same silly woman I fall in love with everyday. Thank you for stopping to dance with me any time any day anywhere. HAPPY Anniversary Beautiful.”
In Bunnie’s post, she recalled that first time she met Jelly Roll in Vegas.
“Fast forward to a newly single me in 2016 & J was asking me what my 5 year plan was completely annihilated from the booze filled night we had,” she continued. ”Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought we would have manifested everything we talked about that night.”
Bunnie is currently staying busy with her hosting duties of her widely popular podcast, while Jelly Roll continues on the fall leg of his headlining Son of a Sinner tour with special guests Still Matthews and Jehry Robinson. His next performance is slated for Tuesday, Oct 18 in Portland, OR.
