Jelly Roll swept the 2024 CMT Music Awards on Sunday evening with a triple win and a fiery performance of his latest single, “Halfway To Hell.”
The breakout star, who made history at last year’s CMT Music Awards, left tonight’s show with three more belt buckle trophies. Taking home wins in all three categories he was nominated in (Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year for “Need A Favor” and Performance of the Year for “Need A Favor” from the 2023 CMT Music Awards), Jelly Roll stole the show with his heartfelt speeches.
Early in the show, he thanked his fans for supporting him along the way and also gave shoutouts to those who mean the most to him.

“This is a moment I want to take to thank the fans for everything they have done for me,” the Nashville native shared from the stage. “I want to thank God, I want to thank my beautiful wife and my daughter at home. One year ago, I was invited to perform at my first award show, and I walked on this stage and I sang ‘Need A Favor’ for the first time on national television right here. What I’m emotional about is in that last year, you have changed my life in every way. I would’ve never thought my life could be changed.”
Following his Male Video of the Year win, Jelly Roll confessed, “I’m having one of the greatest nights of my life.”
Before leaving the stage, he took a moment to deliver an inspiring message.

“But speaking of chances, it’s important that I stand up here tonight and represent those that are looking for second chances. The kids back in the metro Davison County Juvenile Detention Facility, the kids down here in the Austin Juvenile Detention Facility are watching this tonight. I’m cheering y’all boys on,” he said. “You can be this guy. You can change. You can turn it around. I promise you can baby. I once heard a man say that you don’t change until the pain to remain the same is greater than the pain it takes to change, and that’s what it takes. I love you, Texas.”
Jelly Roll closed out the night by taking home the evening’s top honor, Video of the Year. He gave shoutouts to his fellow nominees, Cody Johnson and Kelsea Ballerini, and promised to set the stage on fire with his show-closing performance.
Before the credits began to roll, Jelly Roll took the stage to perform “Halfway To Hell.” With fans and his peers cheering him on, the genre-bending star proved why he’s one of today’s most beloved country artists.
Ahead of the 2024 CMT Music Awards, Jelly Roll walked the red carpet with his wife, Bunnie XO by his side.

In addition to Jelly Roll, the lineup also included Bailey Zimmerman, Parker McCollum, Dasha, Cody Johnson, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Little Big Town + Sugarland, Megan Moroney, NEEDTOBREATHE + Jordan Davis, Old Dominion ft. Megan Moroney, Sam Hunt, and Trisha Yearwood.
Plus, during the show, Brooks & Dunn, Lainey Wilson, and Sammy Hagar joined forces with Toby Keith’s longtime band to honor the late country music icon with a musical tribute.
The all-star presenter lineup included Amber Riley, Billy Bob Thornton (Landman), Carly Pearce, Cody Alan, Cody Johnson, Emily Osment (Young Sheldon), Emma Roberts, Gayle King (CBS Mornings), James Van Der Beek, Jane Seymour, Jelly Roll, Max Theriot (Fire Country), Megan Moroney, Melissa Etheridge, Mickey Guyton, Minnie Driver, Montana Jordan (Young Sheldon), Parmalee and Paul Walter Hauser.
