Jon Pardi and Luke Bryan have teamed up to bring their buzzed-about collaboration, “Cowboys and Plowboys,” to life in a brand new music video.

The Music Video Features Special Guests

Directed by Shawn Silva and filmed outside of Nashville and in Pardi’s home state of California, the clip features Rodeo Champions including Kyle Lockett, Bert McGill, Dallas Owen, Dakota Eldridge, Jordan Ketscher, Shelby Cole, Jaylee McGill, and Wayce McGill, as well as special appearances by Pardi’s wife, Summer, and daughter, Presley, and Bryan’s wife, Caroline, and their dog, Choc.

“We had a great time filming this out on the farm,” Pardi shared upon the release of the music video.

Released in October of 2023, the song celebrates the artists’ lifestyles as cowboys and farmers while also pointing out that they’re more alike than they are different.

“I wear a 20X American hat/ A gold buckle from a rodeo,” Pardi sings in the opening lines. Then Bryan chimes in, “I wear a dusty old co-op cap/ Make my livin’ on them old turn rows.”

Pardi and Bryan point out their preferred modes of transportation, a quarter horse and a tractor, as well as their go-to libations, whiskey and a beer, before joining together on the chorus, which goes, “Cowboys and plowboys/ Just some good old small town boys/ Both make the world go ’round boys/ Boy, ain’t that the truth?/ Yeah, we got different roots, we wear different boots/ But we ain’t that different when the day is through/ So, here’s to the cowboys and plowboys like me and you/ Just like me and you.”

Given the nature of the song, some may assume that Pardi and Bryan co-wrote the tune, however, it was written by Rhett Akins, Jacob Rice and Cole Taylor. However, it seems like the song was crafted specifically for these two artists.

Pardi Recalls Hearing The Song For The First Time

“I remember hearing it for the first time ‘cause Rhett Akins sent it to me and said, ‘You and Luke need to record this song.’ Luke called me like an hour later was like, ‘We gonna do this song, man?’ And it was just perfect,” Pardi recently said. “He comes from a farming background. I come from a farming/cowboys kind of lifestyle all the time now. It’s just perfect for me and him to sing together.”

“Cowboys and Plowboys” was shipped to country radio on October 16, 2023. It continues to climb the charts.

They Performed “Cowboys and Plowboys” At Crash My Playa

The artists recently crossed paths when Pardi jetted down to Mexico to perform at Bryan’s Crash My Playa destination event. Although it was raining during Pardi’s performance, he delivered a standout set and welcomed Bryan to the stage during his performance to perform “Cowboys and Plowboys.”

Pardi, who is expecting his second child with his wife, Summer, will soon embark on his world tour and has several dates planned overseas in the coming weeks. For a complete list of Jon Pardi’s tour dates, click HERE.
