Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan were surprised with a platinum plaque for their chart-topping collaborative single, “Buy Dirt,” while on a hunting trip over the weekend.
Bryan dubbed it the “‘Buy Dirt’ number one duck hunt” and documented the occasion on Instagram. He also thanked fans for supporting the song and congratulated Davis on its success.

The song officially earned platinum status earlier this month and celebrated another week at the top of the country radio charts this week.
This marks Davis’ first multi-week No.1 as “Buy Dirt” remained at the No.1 spot on both the Billboard and Mediabase country airplay charts for a second consecutive week.
According to a press release, the sentimental track is Davis’ fastest-moving single to date and is the No.3 most consumed country song of 2022 so far with over 250 million global streams.
Additionally, “Buy Dirt” landed on four different Viral Charts in the US, Canada, Australia, and South Africa, has been inside the Top 200 country streaming chart all 34 weeks since release, and inside the Top 5 for 16 weeks.
The track has also spent 25 consecutive weeks on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 chart.

“Buy Dirt,” co-written by Davis alongside his brother, Jacob Davis, and frequent collaborators Josh Jenkins and Matt Jenkins, is Davis’ fourth career No.1.
“This is the most special song I have released,” Davis previously shared. “From writing it with my brother and two of my best friends, to having Luke want to be a part of it…it’s going to be hard to top. To me this song is about faith, family, and friends. It’s a reminder to myself to always keep those top priority and in that order. It has been awesome to see so many people connect with that message.”
Davis recently announced his headlining Buy Dirt Tour with special guest Tenille Arts. Fans can visit his official website for details.
