Earlier this year, Jordan Davis and his wife, Kristen welcomed their newest addition, a son named Elijah Patrick. The baby boy officially made the couple parents to three children, along with their 1-year-old son Locklan and 3-year-old daughter Eloise.

While reflecting on his new list of responsibilities that kicked into high gear the moment his two kids met their baby brother for the first time, Davis told Country Now, “It really is the best.”

“Man. It’s a special thing,” he shared before explaining how Eloise and Locklan are adjusting to the new changes around the house. “My daughter’s already an amazing big sister. My son doesn’t quite know what’s going on yet, but we kind of have to ease up on the aggression with him. I think he thinks he’s like a toy doll, so he punches him a lot. But other than that, everything’s going great.”

“Mama’s healthy, baby’s healthy and everybody’s happy,” Davis added.

The Davis family recently captured these precious memories in a photoshoot with Nashville-based photographer, Brigette Billups. Kristen shared several adorable snapshots from the day on social media with the caption, “Davis Party of 5 🤎 Thank you @brigettebillupsphotography for capturing the pure joy, love and chaos that is our precious little crew!”

Announcing Elijah’s Arrival

On Thursday, June 15, the country singer took to social media to share a black and white photo of his newborn son holding onto his fingers, revealing that his wife has given birth to their son named Elijah Patrick.

His caption read, “God is good! My son Elijah Patrick is in the world…His momma did incredible in getting him here and we hope to get him home to his brother and sister soon.”

The couple announced Kristen’s pregnancy via Instagram in February using Jordan Davis’ sentimental song and latest hit, “Next Thing You Know.”

Changing up the lyrics to fit the big news, he sang, “Next thing you know / you got a baby coming in June / acted out the words in no time soon.”

He added, “She got knocked up. Baby number three coming.” While looking to his pregnant wife the country singer asked, “is that how we’re saying it babe? You got knocked up?”

“I think we can find a better way to say that,” Kristen added with a laugh.

“We’re pregnant. Again. Next thing you know…” Davis concluded.

Chart-Topping Success

In June, “Next Thing You Know” officially reached the top spot on country radio, marking Davis’ 6th Career No.1

The country singer found out that the song had nabbed this high achievement just moments before getting on stage. Davis expressed his excitement with the crowd in front of him, letting them know that it would be his first time getting to play the tune since reaching the top of the charts.

The milestone moment was captured on video and shared to social media alongside a heartfelt caption that showcased Davis’ gratitude for everyone who had a hand in bringing this sentimental song to life, especially his co-writers, Chase McGill, Greylan James, and Josh Osborne, as well as country radio and his record label.

“This song has been a special one since the day I wrote it with…To Greylan, Josh, and Chase, thank y’all for writing this one the way it needed to be written, which was not the traditional way that leads to songs being recorded,” he began. “Thank you Paul for hearing a work-tape of this tune in the studio and then turning it into what you hear today…Thank you Country radio for continuing to support my music and giving me my 6th #1 song…Thank you MCA Nashville for being my biggest champions from the start.”

The multi-platinum, CMA award-winning entertainer is currently on the road in support of Dierks Bentley’s GRAVEL & GOLD Tour. Produced by Live Nation, Bentley’s trek kicked off on June 1 and hit a total of 28 cities.

Once this run comes to a close, Jordan Davis will embark on his headlining DAMN GOOD TIME Tour this fall.

He took to social media in April to announce this run with a hilarious video featuring several of his bandmates and his pregnant wife, Kristen. His caption read, “The worst tour announce video you’ve ever seen…”
