Over the weekend, Kane Brown brought his massive In The Air headlining tour to Los Angeles. During the show, the superstar performed his 3X Platinum hit “Thank God,” however this performance looked a bit different than usual as RaeLynn filled in for Brown’s wife, and duet partner, Katelyn Brown, who couldn’t make the trip as she is currently at home with their newborn son, Krewe Allen, and their two daughters, Kingsley Rose and Kodi Jane.
RaeLynn captured the memorable moment on video and later shared it on her Instagram. She captioned the “Thank God” performance post, “Just tryin to make my best friend @katelynbrown proud in Los Angeles 🩷.”
Katelyn, who has been close friends with RaeLynn for several years, was quick to comment back, giving her performance a stamp of approval.
“You are fabulous 🔥🩷🙌🏼 get it mama,” Katelyn wrote.
For the performance, Brown and RaeLynn appeared on opposite sides of the giant stage inside BMO Stadium.
Brown started off the performance solo, mesmerizing the crowd with his heartfelt opening verse dedicated to his other half. At the start of the chorus, RaeLynn joined in providing harmonies.
Then, she captivated the audience with her smooth vocals as she sang the second verse, “Never thought I’d find an angel undercover/ Who made a change to everything/ From my heart to my last name/ Hey, hard to tell/ When he fell/ That boy was Heaven sent/ And every night/ When I close my eyes/Before I say amen…I Thank God.”
Katelyn has joined Brown on several occasions to perform the chart-topping hit while he’s been on tour, however, lately, she’s been sticking a bit closer to home as she recently gave birth to their third child. During a recent Instagram Q&A, Katelyn promised she’d still join her husband on the road when she is able.

Most recently, she joined Kane Brown on stage at his headlining show at Fenway Park in Boston. Ahead of the sold-out performance, Brown opened up about Katelyn joining him on the road for the weekend during an appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America.
“We’ve had some off time. While [Katelyn] was pregnant, I’d fly in and fly straight back. Luckily her mom’s in the house right now with all three of [the kids] and Katelyn’s on the road with me. It’s her first time leaving the house,” the American Music Award winner told GMA.

Brown’s Los Angeles concert, featuring special guests Tyler Hubbard and LOCASH, marked one of the final stops on his 2024 tour. With only two dates remaining, fans can catch him next in Denver, Colorado on September 6 and at the tour’s finale in Arlington, Texas on September 14.
Kane Brown is currently up for 11 nominations for the upcoming People’s Choice Country Awards, including the top honor of The People’s Artist of 2024 as well as The Male Artist of 2024 and The Song of 2024 for “Miles On It” with Marshmello, which was recently certified Platinum.
Hosted by Shania Twain, the two-hour 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards will air live from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT across NBC and Peacock.
