With a third child on the way, Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn Brown have a few very important decisions to make, one of which is selecting a name for their first boy. Lucky for them, they have landed on the perfect name for their third child.
Baby Boy On The Way
Their son will join big sisters Kingsley and Kodi and as many have noticed, the Brown family has a theme running through their family as each member of the family, Kane, Katelyn, Kingsley, and Kodi, have the initials KB.
In an Instagram story shared after their “What Will Baby Bee” gender reveal, Katelyn shared that they plan to keep the KB initials going with their third child.
They Will Keep The KB Theme Going
At the time, she wrote, “We’ve committed and can’t stop now” and encouraged her followers to submit name ideas to her via Instagram.
On Wednesday (Jan. 17), Katelyn further elaborated on the name selection and revealed that they have indeed selected a name.
“A lot of people are asking us what the name is. We have a name picked out. We actually had a top list of our favorite three and as of right now, we have the name, unless, you know we still have some months to go, we hear a name that is undeniable and we want to change it, but i think we have the name,” she said in a video shared to Instagram stories with a smile.
Pregnancy Update
During her Q&A session with fans, Katelyn revealed that she suffered from “really bad” morning sickness during the first trimester. While it was similar to what she experienced during her pregnancies with Kingsley and Kodi, Katelyn admitted, “I felt like I could only eat the same three things and my frist trimester. Now that she’s in her second trimester, Katelyn says she’s feeling much better but that she is tired “all the time.”
Christmas Day Announcement
The couple announced Katelyn’s pregnancy on Christmas Day with a picture-perfect family photo. In the snapshot, Kingsley is donning a huge smile while holding up an ultrasound photo of the new baby.
“Last Christmas of 4 🎄❤️,” the couple captioned the joint Instagram post, referring to the fact that next year, they will be a family of five.
“Merry Christmas everyone,” they added.
The news came just before Kodi Jane’s second birthday (she was born on December 30, 2021). Katelyn’s pregnancy with Kodi was a complete surprise to fans as Katelyn never publicly announced that she was pregnant. They went to great lengths to hide her baby bump and shocked the world on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2021, when they revealed that they welcomed a second child into the world.
Katelyn later elaborated on her decision to keep this pregnancy private, writing, “These past 9 months have been so sacred and special to me. Choosing to keep my pregnancy quiet was the best decision I’ve ever made.”
It appears they are going to be more public about this pregnancy as she has been sharing quite a few updates with fans so far.
Kane and Katelyn recently celebrated five years of marriage. They tied the knot at Mint Springs Farm in Nolensville, Tennessee on October 12, 2018. Kingsley Rose arrived on October 29, 2019, and Kodi Jane joined their family on December 30, 2021.
