Kane Brown fans wanted new music from the superstar so that’s exactly what they got.
Brown recently shared a snippet of his new song “Like a Rodeo” with fans on social media. Along with the clip, he issued a challenge to his fans – if the video reached one million views, he would officially release the song.
Brown’s fans accepted the challenge and as soon as the clip reached one million views, he vowed to release “Like a Rodeo” on July 12.
The track dropped at midnight and his loyal legion of fans flocked to streaming services for a first listen.
In the song, Brown compares love and relationships to a rodeo with lyrics like, “It was less than 8 seconds/Girl, you stole my heart.”
“Love is like a rodeo / Tryin’ to see how far we go / After one touch, because obsessed with the rush / Yeah, love is like a rodeo / I just wanna steal the show / We finally fall, but we keep holding on,” he sings throughout the chorus.
The release of “Like a Rodeo” comes after the debut of “One Thing Right,” Brown’s collaboration with Marshmello.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Brown was tapped to headline the STAPLES Center’s 20th-anniversary concert on October 18, 2019. Brown’s headlining show marks the first event in a year-long celebration of the iconic venue.
“STAPLES Center is an incredibly diverse and iconic venue and it is an honor to headline and be a part of their 20th-anniversary kick-off celebration,” Brown shared at the time. “From the Lakers, Clippers, Kings and Sparks, to all the artists that have graced the stage there, they bring the best in entertainment to Los Angeles and I cannot wait to celebrate the last 20 years and kick-off the next 20.”
“Like a Rodeo” is available everywhere. His latest single, “Homesick,” is climbing the charts at country radio now.
