Kane Brown made a kind gesture to a fan during his recent show in Denver, CO that highlighted his impact as an artist as well as his commitment to making a difference, especially with his younger fans.

Since the show on Friday, Sept. 6, videos have surfaced across social media, documenting the moment Brown made his way down to the side of the stage to greet a young in a cowboy hat. The boy named Keylan got noticed in the crowd because of the large sign he held up that read, “Bullied for the color of my skin. I just want a hug from Kane.” The country star was clearly touched by these disappointed words and wanted to go the extra mile to make sure the fan was feeling all the love from him.

He turned to the boy, offered him a fist bump and a tight hug, signed his poster and then proceeded to continue delivering the lyrics to his heartfelt tune, “Good As You.” The kind gesture was shown on the big screens of the venue, allowing the entire crowd to show their support.

Later on, Brown shared photos with him and the young fan on Instagram and penned a caption that encourages any of his followers to “be yourself” and not to worry about the thoughts and opinions of others. He added that everyone should “try and be kind” despite any negativity they might be facing.

“Treat others how you would wanna be treated ☺️ tonight was amazing Colorado but this touched my heart 🙏🏽,” he shared.

This moment is even more special knowing that it was Keylan’s first concert, as his mom Amanda Brown revealed in the comment section of the post. While reflecting on the experience with Country Now, Amanda expressed her deep gratitude for the kindness Kane Brown showed that night.

“I have so much respect for Kane after this experience. I could tell by the look on his face when he hugged Keylan that it truly touched his heart,” she told us. “The fact that he took time away from his show to hug my son and bring light to the subject on his sign was just amazing. Bullying of any kind I feel like is a topic that is typically brushed under the rug and I am so grateful he addressed it in-front of thousands of people.”

Amanda went onto admit that her son was feeling a bit nervous when members of Brown’s team brought him over the barricade as he was completely unaware of what was about to come. She then explained that this gesture meant so much to them and their family as they have a longstanding appreciation for the country singer.

“He has always looked up to Kane, they both come from a white mother and black father. I have played his song learning about Kane being bullied for the color of his skin and he would say ‘mom just like me.’”

This is proof that by singing about both the good times and bad through his lyrics, Kane Brown is truly making a difference within his fanbase. He’s an artist that the now 7-year-old has felt connected to since he was just 2 years old because they come from similar backgrounds and, coincidentally, they even share the same last name.

“He relates to him because he looks just like him. I respect him because his music is appropriate for the entire family. My son’s entire name is Keylan Brown so having the same last name and initials means the world to him,” Amanda revealed. “When he was bullied he would cry about the color of his skin and ask why those boys were being so mean not only on the bus but at the town pool also. He sees Kane’s strength and knows where he came from and after hearing it, showed him that it’s ok to Let it go.”

She added, “We adore Kane so much and are just so blessed. When we made the sign I told him not to be disappointed if he doesn’t get his hug. Now after he got it he said ‘mom I did it.’”

While this was clearly a night to remember for the whole family, Keylan’s mom jokingly said she had to remind her son that not every concert experience will be this amazing. The kindness the “Miles On It” singer continues to show fans like Keylan certainly does not go unnoticed.

“Every fan that hugged him on the way out of the stadium made his day they took pictures and told him he was beautiful. Kane has the best fan base and his kids are lucky as well as his fans to have such an amazing man to look up to.”

Part of the reason so many fans continue to be captivated by Brown is because of his unwavering kindness for young people, which he continues to showcase through his work with the Boys & Girls Club.

In 2022, Brown was honored with the Champion of Youth Award in celebration of his outstanding work and commitment to the organization. Later this month, he will be recognized once again with the Country Champion Award at the upcoming People’s Choice Country Awards. Fans can watch Brown accept this honor on Thursday, Sept. 26 when the ceremony airs live from Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry on NBC and Peacock.

Brown is also vying for awards in the following categories: People’s Artist of 2024, Male Artist of 2024, Song of 2024, Male Song of 2024, Crossover Song of 2024, Collaboration Song of 2024 and Music Video of 2024.

This weekend on Sept. 14, Kane Brown will visit Arlington, TX for the last stop of his In The Air Tour.
