The “Half Of My Hometown” singer announced her partnership with Aerie on Tuesday morning via Instagram.

“Very proud and thrilled to partner with @aerie for the launch of our #AerieREAL Voices campaign,” she wrote. “It’s all about celebrating what makes us confident and doing it with no filters and with all the self love.”

Ballerini shared a series of photos for the campaign, including one of her modeling a bra top and Aerie underwear. She admitted that she’s come a long way when it comes to body positivity and shared her new outlook on her body and health.

“Honestly, if ya would’ve told me a few years ago I’d be in a campaign in my undies with zero retouching…I woulda 🏃🏼‍♀️💨…but I’m proud of the personal growth I’ve had recalibrating my relationship with my body and what feels healthy, strong, and sustainable for myself and lifestyle. Vulnerable? Yes, but happy,” she wrote.

Ballerini previously opened up about body image in 2020 and admitted that she is sometimes “hard on herself.”

“Between the stress of the unknown, the heaviness of reality, and being home not knowing what to do with all this time off tour…my body and weight have gone back and forth a lot these last few months,” she shared on Instagram. “I’m finally getting to a place where I feel a bit of balance again, getting back into my workout routines, not only cooking comfort meals (but wow was the pasta streak fun while it lasted), and subbing out (some**) of the wine I was drowning how I was feeling in for my new obsession topochico with lime (try it y’all).”

She continued, “I’m sharing this, not because I’m feeling 100%, but because I’m remembering the things I’m control of- my health and the way I feel being one of those things. if you’ve been silently insecure about the way your body has handled this year, you’re not alone and I’m sending you a big hug. have the best weekend, and know you’re beautiful just as you are.”

Joining Ballerini on the #AerieREAL Voices campaign are actress Antonia Gentry, TikTok creators the NaeNaeTwins, wheelchair dance team the Rollettes, and previous #AerieREAL cast member, gold medalist, and advocate Aly Raisman.

Now through October 6, customers can share their personal stories and real selves for the chance to represent the #AerieREAL community in future campaigns.
