Today, Sept. 12, marks Kelsea Ballerini’s 31st birthday, and to kick off the celebratory day, she announced that her upcoming one-night-only album release show at the iconic Madison Square Garden on October 29 is officially sold out.

Earlier this week, she informed fans that her first headlining show at the legendary venue in New York City would be extra special as it will commemorate the release of her new project, PATTERNS, on October 25.

The country singer has already expressed the utmost excitement for next month’s performance, but that joy was further elevated when she learned that it will be completely packed with fans who want to join her in stepping into the next chapter.

She took to social media once again to share the news, stating, “woke up on this lovely birthday to see quite possibly the most unreal gift i can imagine…you guys sold out madison square garden immediately. pretty speechless at this one. 🤯😭🙏”

Since this is going to be such a milestone show, Ballerini had to deliver an epic announcement video that opened with a clip of a helicopter pilot giving a tour above New York City. Suddenly, the music stops to show Ballerini’s dog, Dibs, riding in the passenger seat. Once they’re back on the ground, the cinematic footage continues to follow the adorable pub throughout the big city until he finds his mom inside the home of the New York Rangers.

“Hey Dibs, do you think it would be cool if mom played Madison Square Garden?” the triple GRAMMY-nominee asks before looking out into the empty arena in awe. She then picks up her guitar, moves to the spotlight in the center of the room and envisions what her upcoming concert will look like when its filled with screaming fans.

“The whole time I was making this album, I was visualizing and dreamscaping ways to bring it to life for our live show, and it was something I couldn’t wait more than five days after its release to do,” Ballerini shared in a recent statement. “When good things happen, when new chapters begin, you want to share them with your people. This time around, it just so happens to be in a bucket list venue in the heart of a city that is landmarked heavily in the music and visuals of PATTERNS. I’m so giddy to be celebrating this album release at Madison Square Garden…see you in New York City!”

The upcoming show will feature special guests Tigerlily Gold and Aly & AJ as openers.

Took An All-Girl Approach To Creating ‘Patterns’

PATTERNS will serve as the follow-up to her GRAMMY-nominated and CMA-nominated album Rolling Up The Welcome Mat project. This time around, the “Sorry Mom” singer took an all-girl approach by teaming up with producer and longtime collaborator Alysa Vanderheym. Additionally, she embarked on a writer’s retreat with Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee Hillary Lindsey, GRAMMY Songwriter of the Year nominee Jessie Jo Dillon and Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild, leading her to create a full-length album focused on the value of female friendship, vulnerability and the reality of navigating relationships in the real world.

“I feel creatively free and emotionally open. Very awake to real life, and my patterns that contribute to my present reality. I’m ready to share that,” says Ballerini.

During Kelsea Ballerini’s celebratory week, she also nabbed two CMA Awards nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for “Cowboys Cry Too” with Noah Kahan.

Madison Square Garden is currently the only show she currently has on the books, but fans are hoping a full headlining tour is also in the works.
