Koe Wetzel Puts His Own Genre-Bending Spin On A Trio Of Christmas Classics With ‘Koe Wetzel Presents… Wetzel’s Wonderland’
The new project was paired with a hilarious video that was written and co-directed by Wetzel.

Koe Wetzel is celebrating the most joyful time of the year with his new EP Koe Wetzel Presents… Wetzel’s Wonderland.
Inside the three-track collection, the Texas native puts his genre-bending sound on display with his renditions of the Christmas classics, “Please Come Home For Christmas,” “Blue Christmas,” and “I’ll Be Home For Christmas.”
A Three-Track Release
Opening with swanky guitar riff, Wetzel’s cover of “Please Come Home For Christmas” offers a smooth and sexy take on the well-known tune. Moving on to the track made famous by Elvis Presley, “Blue Christmas” gets a rockin’ revamp filled with Wetzel’s smooth, baritone vocals and a festive array of instrumentals from the steel guitar, electric riffs and steady drumbeats. Finally, he lets his artistry shine on “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” as his diverse vocal range lights up the speaker with a tender, slow-tempo melody and even more of his signature guitar licks that transform the song into his own.
“Christmas eve will find me / Where the love light gleams / I’ll be home for Christmas / If only in my dreams / I’ll be home for Christmas / You can plan on me / Please have some snow and mistletoe / And presents by the tree,” Wetzel delivers on the final chorus.

Pairing The New Music With A Hilarious Video Starring Wetzel & Santa Claus
Seeing as Christmas is his favorite holiday, Wetzel took the opportunity to get a bit creative with promoting his new project with a just-released EP trailer. Written and co-directed by Wetzel, the hilarious video finds the country star running into a white-bearded man in a red flannel who he believes to be Santa Claus himself.
The cinematic clip opens with a slide that adds the perfect visual for the start of any fairytale story as it reads, “Once upon a time in a lonely Texas dive bar…”
Once inside the bar, the starstruck encounter leads to an intoxicated Wetzel slamming back a few shots with Santa while trying to seek out answers to the things we’re all wondering about in regards to the magic of Mr. Claus and the North Pole.
“Holy Sh*t dude, it’s you. What the F*ck are you doing here?” he asks the not-so jolly old man who responds, “Was trying to drink alone.”
When he turns down Wetzel’s offer for a shot because he has to drive, the singer/songwriter goes into a frenzy thinking Santa’s sleigh is parked just outside.
Then he gets into the hard-hitting questions as he says, “Now Santa, I know you do it all in one night, but how?”
The man tries to tell Wetzel that he is not the real Santa Claus, however he doesn’t seem to take the hint.
The conversation eventually turned a bit emotions for Wetzel as he starts to recall memories of Christmas from his childhood years and seeing the gifts left for him under the tree, thanks to Santa. Eventually, the man has had enough of the antics and Wetzel ends up left on the floor of the bar with just a few broken candy canes thrown at him.
On his way out of the bar, Wetzel stopped to share a statement regarding the scene that just unfolded, to which he said, “Christmas music is my favorite music to get drunk to. Also I love eggnog.”
Koe Wetzel has had an extensive year of touring that will soon come to an end on Friday, December 15. On this night, he will make his way to The HOOEY Party at NFR in Las Vegas and deliver his final performance of the year. Tickets for the event held at Brooklyn Bowl are available to purchase HERE.
