Lainey Wilson and her boyfriend Devlin “Duck” Hodges were the epitome of classic country chic as they stunned on the CMA Awards red carpet in coordinating sleek, all-black ensembles.
The couple, who made their red carpet debut at the 2023 ACM Awards earlier this year, radiated confidence as they posed for photos together. For her look, the CMA Awards top nominee took her Bell Bottom Country style to the next level with large ruffled black bell-bottom pants. She topped off her look with silver jewelry. Hodges sported a bolo tie and they topped off their coordinating looks with matching black cowboy hats.
Wilson and Hodges have been dating for over two years, but only took their relationship public earlier this year. In recent interviews, the Louisiana native revealed that her relationship with Hodges has inspired love songs for her next album.
When Lainey Wilson arrived to “Country Music’s Biggest Night,” she was already a big winner, taking home two trophies this morning ahead of the show. She and her friend and tour mate, HARDY, earned two trophies: CMA Musical Event of the Year and CMA Music Video of the Year. Both wins are for their duet, “wait in the truck.”
The 31-year-old was vying for a total of nine trophies: Entertainer Of The Year, Single Of The Year (“Wait In The Truck” with HARDY & “Heart Like A Truck”), Album Of The Year (‘Bell Bottom Country’), Song Of The Year (“Heart Like A Truck”), Female Vocalist Of The Year, Musical Event Of The Year (“Save Me” with Jelly Roll and “Wait In The Truck” with HARDY) and Music Video Of The Year (“Wait In The Truck” with HARDY).
She swept most categories, taking home a total of five big wins, including the night’s top honor, Entertainer of the Year, as well as Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.
“This is all I’ve ever wanted to do. It’s the only thing I know how to do,” she told the crowd during her final acceptance speech. “We have played just, I think at the end of the year, we have played about 186 shows this year, and we’ve worked our butts off this year and so many years in between. I’ve been in this town for 12 and a half years, and it finally feels like country music, it is starting to love me back. I love it with my whole heart.”
She later showcased her gratitude for her team, family and gave her boyfriend a sweet shoutout: “I love you, Duck!”
During the show, she took the stage for a performance of “Wildflowers and Wildhorses.”
Co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, the 57th Annual CMA Awards aired live on Wednesday, November 8 on ABC (8:00-11:00 PM/EST).
