Lainey Wilson is not letting the haters get to her. In a hilarious new video, she responds to a user who suggested she isn’t actually as talented as the world pegs her to be.

“Dances better than she sings. Maybe stick with that instead,” the user with the handle Hh2022 wrote on a previous video Wilson posted that involved her showing off some moves as part of a TikTok trend.

While donning Megan Moroney’s new merch, Wilson replied to the comment with another clip in which she stands up to the negative words in the best way.

“Thank you, brother, thank you Johnny,” she said before backing up showing some of the “new dance moves” she’s been working on. Even though she was joking around, Wilson did not disappoint with her impromptu dance performance.

“You like that?” she asked while moving and grooving, before adding a humble “God bless you” at the very end of the video.

The ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year’s caption read, “Just givin’ ole Johnny boy what he wants 🤪”

Receives Support From Fellow Female Country Stars

Many of the “Hang Tight Honey” singer’s fellow female country artists came to her rescue in the comment section and made sure to hype her up for the clever way she chose to respond to the hater.

Megan Moroney said, “Hahahahahahhaaha immediately yes” while Ella Langley emphasized the part in the video that made her laugh extra hard, “I’ve been working on this hahaha.”

Ashley McBryde also chimed in saying, “Git em sister !!!” and Charly Reynolds said, “This is why we love u.”

New Album Drops This Friday

Plus, Wilson is just days away from unveiling her new Whirlwind album on August 23. Serving as a co-writer on each of the 14 tracks, Wilson shares insight into her world as she returns to her Louisiana roots and offers a set of humbling tracks for fans to bring into their own lives. The multi-platinum female country star opens the album with a tune titled “Keep Up With Jones” and continues with her fan-favorite single, “Country’s Cool Again” before diving into the only collaboration on the entire album, “Good Horses (feat. Miranda Lambert).”

“Writing & recording these 14 songs over the past couple of years has helped me stay grounded in ways you’d never believe,” Wilson shared in a release. “This album brought me back to my roots and made me feel at home during times when I couldn’t have been further away and my biggest hope is that it gives you that same sense of comfort that it has for me.”

In addition to “Country’s Cool Again,” fans have also gotten a taste of Whirlwind through the chart-climbing single, “Hang Tight Honey,” and the deeply personal “4x4xU.”
