Lauren Akins, wife of country superstar Thomas Rhett, soon-to-be mother of three and contributor to Country Living Magazine, will soon detail her life story in the just-announced book, LIVE IN LOVE: Growing Together Through Life’s Changes. Written with bestselling collaborator Mark Dagostino, the memoir will be available beginning May 5, 2020.
“I never would have guessed I’d be telling my story in a book about my life,” said Akins. “I hope by sharing parts of myself and my journey that I’m able to help someone feel less alone, inspired and find the love that we share as humans in these pages.”
LIVE IN LOVE: Growing Together Through Life’s Changes is described as “revealing” and “inspiring” and will reportedly offer readers advice about balancing family life while trying to keep a romance alive. The memoir will also provide guidance about expressing your true faith and living a life of purpose.
Throughout the book, Akins opens up about her childhood friendship with Thomas Rhett and shares the story of how they reconnected years later. She also discusses what it’s like being married to one of country music’s biggest stars and the challenges that go along with it. Things get emotional when Akins details her experiences doing mission work in Haiti and Uganda, where she ultimately met the precious baby girl who would become her first daughter. Additionally, Live in Love also includes never-before-seen photos of Akins and her family.
Akins recently spoke with People about the book and admitted she is a bit nervous to share such personal stories with the world.
“If I’m being honest, I am really excited about this project and also pretty scared to be this vulnerable with the world. I am confident in my stories, my friends, my family and my faith which all make up my very real and very imperfect story of Live in Love,” she told the publication. “I hope that through sharing my story, people from all walks of life can find themselves within the pages feeling related to, hopeful, not alone, inspired, and most of all — of course — loved.”
