Lauren Alaina took to social media on Tuesday (Jan. 24) to showcase how she gets ready for the day in a step-by-step transformation video.
She starts off the video with wet hair, no makeup, and a white robe as she starts the getting ready process. The country star blow dries and curls her hair, gradually adds a full face of makeup, and takes one final look into the mirror before changing into black overalls with a colorful tie-dye long sleeve underneath, and completing the full transformation into her final look.
“Lipstickin’ it to the man 💄 #flowers,” she wrote in the caption referencing Miley Cyrus’ latest fan favorite, “Flowers,” which plays out as the soundtrack to the clip.
This popular song garnered a ton of attention from the lyrics that many fans believe are about Cyrus’ ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth. It was cleverly released on Hemsworth’s birthday and is theorized to be written in response to Bruno Mars‘ single, “When I Was Your Man.” Many have even said that the house where Cyrus filmed the music video was the same residence where her husband previously cheated on her at.
These rumors have yet to be confirmed or denied by Cyrus.
While it’s an upbeat, empowering song to sing along to, the story definitely doesn’t align with Alaina’s life right now, since she’s happily engaged to her longtime love, Cameron.
The country star revealed both her fiancé and their engagement on November 16 during a Saturday night appearance at the Grand Ole Opry.
“This is the most important place in the world to me and he’s the most important person to me, so, it was pretty amazing to put ‘em together and also [he] did really good,” Alaina added as she pointed at the diamond ring on her finger.
While she didn’t go into too many details about the engagement, she revealed that it happened on Friday (Nov. 18) and later recalled seeing the ring for the first time.
“I talk a lot as y’all have seen and I did not speak for about 45 seconds when I looked at this ring and realized what was happening. I did not see it coming. It was perfect in every way and I can’t wait to spend forever with him, so I wanted to share [it with you]. Nobody knows I haven’t told anybody, so I told you first,” she sweetly shared as the audience erupted with applause.
After ringing in the new year together, the lovebirds enjoyed a romantic getaway to Paris, where they shared a baguette, enjoyed beautiful pieces of art and of course, posed in front of the Eiffel Tower.
“’Oui’ had the best time ever in Paris 💍❤️” she captioned her post that featured a carousel of photos from their trip.
It seems like her year has been off to a great start already, but Alaina’s fans are hopeful that she will have even more exciting things to share in the near future.
After parting ways with her longtime record label, Mercury Nashville last year, the chart-topping country star revealed that she signed with Big Loud Records and has a new album in the works.
“Signed a very BIG and LOUD record deal. Thank you, @bigloud for being willing and LABEL to make music with me. Let’s goooooo!!!! ,” she proudly announced on Instagram.
Alaina later revealed to Everything Nash that her forthcoming album will be “definitely very country.”
“I would say that it really represents my personality well,” she added. “I’ve just been writing for it and preparing and listening, but it represents Lauren Alaina from Rossville, Georgia, very well, I would say.”
The singer/songwriter also revealed that she plans to write songs for the project and also cut several outside songs.
“I’m doing a little bit of both,” she went on to say. “I think I’m at the point where I don’t have to write every song I put out. I’m writing a lot of them, but I just want the best album I can possibly make. And if that means I don’t write a single song on it, so be it. I just wanna put out the best album I’ve ever made.”
Lauren Alaina is next scheduled to perform in Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on January 28 before hitting the road for a couple of festivals.
