Lauren Alaina reflects on the first time she met her soon-to-be husband Cameron Arnold, and how fellow country star Luke Bryan played a part in bringing them together.

How Did Luke Bryan Play A Role In Lauren Meeting Her Future Husband?

While guest hosting The Kelleigh Bannen Show on Apple Music Country, Alaina gushed over her friendship with Bryan, saying she “could not love him more.”

“He’s like a big brother to me, and he is the reason I met my fiancé,” she noted.

The “Thicc As Thieves” singer recalls being in Riviera Cancun, Mexico for Bryan’s annual Crash My Playa music event when she met Arnold, who unbeknownst to her at the time, would end up being her other half.

“I was playing his festival, Crash My Playa, in Mexico, and Cameron [Arnold] is friends with Luke’s nephew and we met backstage on the beach in Mexico,” she explained before adding, “So thanks, Luke. You brought me my husband.”

Back in June of 2023, she spoke more on the topic of meeting and falling in love with Arnold in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight

They Met Backstage At Crash My Playa

Alaina explained that they found themselves backstage of the event, where a taco stand was available for performers and guests. While she was enjoying the food, Arnold came over they spoke their very first words to each other.

“Apparently I ate my tacos really fast and he was like, ‘Nobody’s gonna take those tacos away from you!’ First thing he ever said to me. And that was when I knew,” she shared.

This moment led to them exchanging numbers and according to Alaina, Arnold was already hooked and had a clear vision of their future together.

“I gave him my number, but he came home and told his best friend, ‘I met the woman I’m gonna marry,’” she said. “And I did not leave Mexico feeling that way, but he was right. I’m gonna marry him.”

And the rest was history. Thanks to Bryan’s indirect efforts to bring them together, the couple will soon get to walk down the aisle to finally say “I Do.”

“If you spend five minutes with him, you’d be like, ‘I get it,’” Alaina gushed. “I mean, he’s from Georgia. We’re both from Georgia.”

On top of that, she admitted he is “very funny” and “hot.”

The lovebirds announced their engagement on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry in November of 2022. She surprised the audience by bringing him out on stage and introducing both him and the shiny ring on her finger.

“Everybody, this is my fiancé. I told him he had to come out here and we had to get a picture, so, we’re doing it because this is the circle and I’m going to hold my hand up and do the thing. Make some noise for my future husband everybody!”

While the songstress has yet to publicly share when her wedding will take place, the big day is likely approaching quickly.

Bachelorette Party

Most recently the Georgia native enjoyed a weekend in Miami, Florida with a group of friends for her bachelorette party. During the fun-filled trip, she gave fans a glimpse into the “Cowboy Take Sea Away” celebration through posts on social media.

The weekend featured plenty of various “bride” themed hats, a night out on the town, a stunning garden picnic and more.

With many of the other pre-wedding celebrations already completed, it’s only a matter of time before Lauren Alaina puts on her custom wedding dress and walks down the aisle to become Mrs. Cameron Arnold.

Additionally, in a recent Instagram post soundtracked by her heartfelt tune, “Just Wanna Know That You Love Me,” Alaina admitted that she has been playing love songs “on repeat” and is feeling pretty emotional before the big day.

Alaina has a break in her touring schedule and is not booked to perform until March 2 when she heads overseas for a string of shows across the Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
