In the past few years, Lee Brice has taken country music by storm. With eight chart-topping singles and more than twelve million certified sales, many consider Brice a favorite.
“Soul,” his latest single from his album Hey World, has been praised for its upbeat melody and extremely catchy chorus, subsequently becoming country music’s No.1 most-added single upon release. In honor of the fun, relaxed vibes of the song, Brice worked with directors Justin Clough and Chase Lauer to create a music video to match the energy that the song arises.
According to Brice, they “had a ball, with every aspect of this song… Finding it, (thank you, JR), hearing it the first time, recording it, singing it, mixing it, shooting the video, all of it. I feel like Hey World is my most diverse and at the same time cohesive record I’ve ever made. We have fun songs to mix in with the heavier ones and I couldn’t be happier with how this track turned out.”
“Soul” is about finding someone special and having a connection so deep, you want to celebrate every aspect of it. Songwriters Kevin Kadish and Tony Ferrari achieved their goal of creating a ballad that embodies what falling in love and finding your person can feel like.
Brice says, “the idea that our souls truly connect to each other in unexplainable ways has always been at the core of what I do as a musician, a writer, a producer, and a singer….and I think it’s a good reminder to keep with me every day. I hope everybody loves this song as much as I do.”
Hey World has already raked in over one billion streams and consists of three No.1 singles and he shows no signs of slowing down with his latest single.
