Two-time GRAMMY award-winning recording artist Jason Crabb is joining forces with multi-platinum, multi-number one country artist Dylan Scott for a new duet release of Crabb’s single “Good Morning Mercy.”
The pair recently released the collaboration as well as a black-and-white accompanying music video.
Upon the release of the duet, the artists sat down with People.com to share the inside scoop on the song.
A Fan-Favorite Track
“I remember going into the writing room that day with the hopes of writing the happiest song that we could possibly write,” Crabb shared with the publication about the song he co-wrote with Caleb Ward, Jordan Ward, and Jay DeMarcus. “We wanted to write about those days when the sun is shining and you want to roll the windows down. That’s the way I feel like God’s grace is when his mercies are made new every morning. That’s the Jesus that I want people to grasp ahold of and to know.”
The initial release of “Good Morning Mercy” became a fast favorite on Christian radio charts and in concerts, as well as having millions of streams across multiple platforms.
Scott was also a fan of the track. “I just fell in love with this song when it came out,” he explained. “Me and my kids and my wife would sing it in the car driving down the road.”
Dylan Scott covered the song on his tour bus and shared it to social media. When Crabb saw the clip, he immediately knew they should collaborate. The talented singers met by chance when Crabb bumped into Scott while getting a haircut. And the rest, as the saying goes, is history.
“Dylan has one of the best voices in country music today! I was blown away when I heard him singing “Good Morning Mercy,” Crabb said. “Now to get the chance to sing it with him is really exciting. Dylan and I have so much in common – we both share a deep love for Jesus, our amazing country, and we love our families. I just can’t wait for everyone to hear what we’ve got in store!”
“It’s an honor to be a part of this song,” Scott added. “I’ve looked up to Jason Crabb for a long time and for him to ask me to do this with him is just an awesome moment for me.”

The track was co-produced by Jay DeMarcus – Red Street Records CEO and member of Rascal Flatts – alongside A&R Director Kevin Rooney. The song is soulful and upbeat, speaking to country and Christian music lovers alike.
DeMarcus shared, “What a privilege to work with these two wonderful singers. Jason and Dylan deliver a powerhouse performance and it’s always a joy to hear great singers singing one of your songs.”
