Little Big Town is currently hard at work preparing for the January 16 launch of their much-anticipated Nightfall Tour. Kicking off with a show at the historic Carnegie Hall in New York City, the tour includes over 30 dates scheduled through May 2, 2020.
As the band readies their updated live show, LBT’s Karen Fairchild recently opened up about the tour and revealed that it’s going to be a bit different than anything the group has ever done before.
“It’s gonna be very theatrical in a way, not like we’re acting or anything, but the way the production feels,” Fairchild shared. “It’s intimate in the theater, a lot of these theaters, and really special and very driven by each song, so [it’s] very different than anything we’ve done in a while.”
The tour includes back-to-back shows in several cities, which is something Jimi Westbrook is really looking forward to.
“I’m really looking forward to spending multiple nights in cities this time,” he said. “We haven’t really ever done that, and I think it’s going to be great to kind of settle into some cities and maybe get out and eat some great food, the local fare, and really get to kind of experience the city. Where a lot of times you’re just in and out just for a few hours, so I’m excited about that part. I think it’s gonna be fun.”
Little Big Town’s Nightfall album, featuring the band’s latest single, “Overdrinking,” drops January 17, the day after the launch of the tour. The album is something the members of LBT are really proud of.
“Nightfall is our ninth studio album, and we poured our hearts into this project and we are so proud of it,” Phillip Sweet previously shared. “We feel like it makes a beautiful statement about where we are right now as a band and how much we love making music together, and also that the album takes you on a journey. It will transport you, hopefully, into a beautiful place, because we love it and we’re very proud of it.”
Nightfall is available for pre-order now.
