Luke Bryan is known for pulling pranks any chance he gets, but during his recent concert in Charleston, SC, the high jinks were conducted by his opening acts, Ashley Cooke and Hailey Whitters.
The final night of Bryan’s current headlining Country On Tour took place at the Credit One Stadium on October 28. In the midst of the fun-filled show, Cooke and Whitters teamed up to surprise both Bryan and the audience by joining him on stage dressed in hilarious blow-up costumes that gave the illusion that they were riding a horse.
Bryan stepped to the side, allowing Cooke to take the reins (no pun intended) and deliver the opening lyrics to “Levitating” by Dua Lipa while she and Whitters danced around the stage in their costumes. The crowd cheered in excitement as they watched the antics unfold in front of them.

This moment, as well as a few other highlights from Cooke’s time on the road with Bryan, were recently shared on her social media pages to commemorate the end of the run.
“Finished off the best tour with @lukebryan and crew, pranks and all. truly the best times and the best people on this one. thank you Luke for bringing us out with you,” she wrote alongside an Instagram post featuring a carousel of photos and videos.
A Memorable Night For Fans
After seeing the hilarious clip on TikTok, several fans who were in attendance in South Carolina, confirmed this prank to be an unforgettable part of the night.
One user commented, “We were up in the stands dying of laughter! Love you Ashley! Y’all left a mark on Charleston 🥰”
“So funny! Loved the show,” another fan wrote.
Whitters also took to social media to share a personality-filled photo captured on stage with Bryan as she declared the tour to be “a highlight of my year.”
Her caption on Twitter read, “thank you @lukebryan for being one of the most down to earth stars/humans I’ve ever gotten to know…. ‘twas a highlight of my year getting to sing with you every night. 🤍”

Who Else Joined Luke Bryan On The Country On Tour?
In addition to Whitters and Cooke, American Idol Season 19 winner Chayce Beckham was on the lineup of opening acts for the Country On Tour. According to his most recent post via Instagram, he had a blast throughout the duration of this gig and appreciates the continued support from Bryan who has been around since day one of his Idol journey.
“Had so much fun getting to open up for @lukebryan this year, thanks for bringing me along and showing me the ropes out here. Love ya buddy,” he gushed before speaking to the fans. “Thanks to all the fans who came and made all the shows amazing. Hard to believe it’s over, but I’m excited for the next chapter for us. Until next time!”
Of course, the “Prayin’ In A Deer Stand” singer couldn’t officially wrap things up without delivering his own message of gratitude towards those who came out to each date of his shows, and especially Charleston for welcoming him on the final night of the tour.
“Charleston, y’all made me want to do this tour all over again. #CountryOnTour,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a series of on-stage photos.
A Behind-The-Scenes Look At Life on The Road With Bryan
This may be the end of Ashley Cooke’s time on the Country On Tour, however, she will reunite with Luke Bryan January 17 – 20, 2024 for his annual Crash My Playa.
While catching up with Country Now during her recent headlining show at Chicago’s Joe’s On Weed. St, Cooke gushed about learning and performing alongside Bryan and the fans that never fail to cheer her on.
“He is such a party. It’s insane. Like every night, we’re just having a good time. He has an in-house personal trainer, and so every morning on the road, we work out, and they have great catering, and the shows are so much fun” she said, sharing a behind-the-scenes look into life on the road with Bryan.
“The fans are amazing. I feel like when you go to a Luke show, you’re just expecting to let loose and have fun so for our shows, the crowds, even when I’m first of four, or third of four, wherever you are in the spot, everybody’s just like, ‘let’s just drink a Margarita and have fun,” she added.
