Country superstar Luke Bryan is back at the top of the charts this week, this time with “What She Wants Tonight.”

The red-hot single was written by Bryan alongside Ross Copperman, Hillary Lindsey and Jon Nite. “What She Wants Tonight” marks Bryan’s 24th  No.1 single and serves as the follow-up to his chart-topping hit, “Knockin’ Boots.” Both songs will be included on his forthcoming studio album, Born Here, Live Here, Die Here, out April 24.

“‘What She Wants Tonight’ is a song that I wrote at my house with Jon Nite, Ross Copperman and Hillary Lindsey, and I’ve been wanting to get together and write with all of them for some time now,” the Georgia native recently recalled of the day they wrote the song. “Ross came in, and he had the track and that drum loop in the front kind of dialed in, and the second I heard it, it was just really, really infectious. And then we were able to just really put a really great lyric (together) with a high energy track.”

“When we came up with the hook – ‘She gets what she wants/and I get to be what she wants tonight,’ ” he continued, “I was just, it just felt like something that could be played on the radio and it felt like something like that’s what women want to hear. They want to have a confident guy kind of singing to them in that way, and I hadn’t been this excited about a song in some time.”

Luke Bryan’s Proud To Be Right Here Tour is scheduled to launch May 28 in Cinncinatti, Ohio.
