Country superstar and newest member of the Grand Ole Opry Luke Combs lends his voice to the soundtrack of the new animated film The Angry Birds Movie 2.
Released Friday (August 2), the song is titled “Let’s Just Be Friends” and is all about putting your differences aside and finding common ground with someone.
“Let’s just be friends / Ain’t gotta fight about it / Let’s find a way around it / Let’s just be friends / Hey, what do you say/ If we don’t even know what we were fussin’ about / Don’t you think it’s time we work it out? / Let’s just be friends,” Combs sings throughout the chorus.
The upbeat song is featured in the forthcoming film, which is slated to hit theaters on August 14. Listen to the song in the video above.
Combs isn’t country music’s only connection to The Angry Birds Movie 2. Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman recently revealed that their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, voice two of the hatchlings featured in the movie.
The star-studded voice cast of The Angry Birds Movie 2 also features Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Leslie Jones, Bill Hader, Rachel Bloom, Awkwafina, Maya Rudolph, Tiffany Haddish, Sterling K.
