Country superstar Miranda Lambert is continuing her longtime support of shelter pets.

Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation is partnering with Tractor Supply Company for the fourth consecutive year to donate more than $250,000 to animal shelters across the country. Through their Mutts Across America program, one exceptional shelter or rescue in every state – plus Washington, D.C., and a “Wildcard” pick – will be surprised with a $5,000 grant.

“Mutts Across America is such a great program because it gives us the chance to highlight an amazing shelter in every state and thank them for the hard work they do throughout the year,” Lambert shared in a statement. “We especially love honoring the shelters that work with the dogs that are hardest to get adopted. We’re so proud to have such a strong and supportive partner in Tractor Supply sharing our values and goals to help as many shelter pets as possible live their best lives.”

Since the program was developed 10 years ago, Mutts Across America has helped more than 500 shelters with over $2 million in grants.

The MuttNation Foundation was founded by Lambert and her mom, Bev Lambert, in 2009 as a donation-supported nonprofit organization with the mission to “promote the adoption of shelter pets, advance spay & neuter and educate the public about the benefits of these actions.”

In addition to the Mutts Across America program, MuttNation and Tractor Supply started the Relief for Rescues Fund in 2023 to help shelters and their pets recover from natural disasters.

The “Wranglers” singer has always been a strong advocate for shelter pets and is a proud owner of rescues herself. Earlier this summer, after losing two of her beloved rescue dogs, Delta Dawn and Louise, she opened up about what it means to rescue a pet and encouraged her fans to follow suit.

“I want y’all to know that I’m an advocate for rescue because I live it out and every day. I am blessed with the joy of having these animals in my life. And then some days, like today, I’m so heartbroken to have lost them. To love this big you have to hurt just as big. They are worth it,” she sweetly explained. “Shelters all over the country are suffering from overcrowdedness so this is my heart song to you. Consider a rescue or fostering or volunteering. You never know what blessing is waiting there for you.”

Lambert will celebrate MuttNation’s 15th anniversary with a Music for Mutts benefit concert on October 5 at Ascend Amphitheater. Presented by Tractor Supply Company, Net proceeds from the event will benefit MuttNation Foundation. During the show, Lambert will be joined by a yet-to-be-announced lineup of friends. Tickets for Music for Mutts are on sale now at MuttNation.com.

The benefit show will take place just weeks after Lambert releases her highly anticipated new album, Postcards from Texas. This project is slated to release on September 13 and will include 14 tracks.

Among the songs included are her fiery lead single, “Wranglers,” the empowering “Dammit Randy,” and the witty “Alimony.” The only feature on the project is the song “Sante Fe” with Parker McCollum.
