Miranda Lambert is en route to Sin City for the upcoming launch of Velvet Rodeo: The Las Vegas Residency!
The superstar took to social media on Monday morning (Sept. 12) to update fans on her travels with a sweet snapshot of three of her rescue pups, Delta Dawn, Cher, and Bellamy, who are accompanying her on her flight to Vegas.
“Vegas here we come,” Lambert excitedly shared.
Velvet Rodeo: The Las Vegas Residency is set to kick off on September 23 at the 7,000-seat Zappos Theater inside Planet Holywood Resort & Casino, the centerpiece of the famed Las Vegas Strip.
The show will take fans on a journey through Lambert’s career, including her eight No.1 albums.
“When you’ve been touring as long as I have, there’s something really creative about imagining a residency in a city like Las Vegas,” the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year previously shared. “I’ve had a lot of fun designing our sets, merchandise and clothing and boot lines – and even my place on Broadway in Nashville, Casa Rosa – so, this opportunity allows me to lean in a bit more into that side of myself and think about how to really bring country music to life in this room. I think everyone will like what we’ve dreamed up. I’m really excited about this!”
As fans anticipate the long-awaited opening night of Velvet Rodeo, Lambert has teased that the show will be different than anything she’s ever done throughout her career.
For the first time ever, Lambert’s show will include outfit changes, something the superstar is looking forward to.
“Yes! There are gonna be outfit changes and that will be something new for me. My stylist @tiffanygiffordstyle is already on it,” she previously shared on Instagram.
The Texas native also revealed that no two shows will be alike as she plans to mix up the set list as much as possible.
“This will definitely be a one-of-a-kind experience,” she promised. “I think it’s going to be a new energy for me and will breathe new life into my process.”
The ACM Triple Crown Winner also opened up about the residency in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“We’re just honing in on everything, but I’m very excited,” Lambert said on the ACM Honors red carpet last month. “It’s kind of like the style I’ve been doing lately, just country western with a lot of rhinestones and fringe, and some fire maybe, so, very excited about that.”
Her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, will be there to support her along the way.
“Every single night I’ll be watching her do what she does best,” he sweetly told ET.
Lambert will support her MuttNation Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit that has raised over $6 million since its inception in 2009, throughout the residency as $1 from every ticket purchased will be donated.
The Foundation’s mission is to promote the adoption of rescue pets, support animal shelters across the country, advance spay & neuter and assist with the transport of animals during times of natural disaster.
