Morgan Evans recently released a new song called “Diamonds” and it’s a sweet ode written for his wife, Kelsea Ballerini.

The pop-infused tune compares his love for Ballerini to that of a precious stone.

“I love you like a diamond/ And diamonds are forever / You know it when you find one / You never let go, ever/ People spend their whole damn life trying to find that shine/ Yeah, I found mine/ I love you like a diamond/ And diamonds are forever/ Forever, ever,” the Austrialian-born singer croons throughout the chorus.

“Diamonds,” was written by Evans alongside Chris Destefano and Evan “Kidd” Bogart. Evans used a live band to record the track in the studio and he’s thrilled with the finished product.

“I wrote ‘Diamonds’ for my wife and I’m so stoked to release it as a single,” Evans shared. “It’s is a fun love song, but deeper than that it celebrates that journey, from lost to found, you feel when you meet that person and everything changes, forever. I handpicked my dream band for the session and I can hear each of their personalities in the record. It just sounds really fresh to me, I’m really proud of that, I can’t wait to start playing it live!”

“Diamonds” is Evans’ first release since he dropped his debut album, Things That We Drink To, in 2018. The singer/songwriter also released a music video to accompany the song. Check it out below.
