It’s almost time for NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE’S BIG BASH! The star-studded show is set to return to CBS once again to help viewers ring in 2024 with performances airing from Music City.
As fans countdown to the five-hour celebration, airing on Sunday, December 31 7:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT, 10:30 PM-1:05 AM, ET/PT on the CBS Television Network, additional details about the show have been revealed, including a star-studded lineup of performers and the hosts.

How Do I Watch NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE’S BIG BASH?
The five-hour show will air on CBS and will stream on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.
Who is Hosting NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE’S BIG BASH?
The network revealed that GRAMMY nominee Elle King is set to host the show alongside Entertainment Tonight’s Rachel Smith. They previously hosted together last year.
“New Year’s Eve is the one party we celebrate all over the world,” King shared in a statement. “I wouldn’t want to spend it any other place than Music City! I’m so excited to get to host another beautiful night of music, friends, love, and joy. I can’t wait to celebrate an incredible year and welcome a new one together.”
“Being back in Nashville co-hosting with my girl Elle is something I look forward to every year,” Smith added. “We’re gonna put on one heck of a show from Music City, and Nashville’s Big Bash will be the perfect soundtrack to ring in another year with family and friends.”
Cody Alan, the TV and radio host, and Lonnie Quinn, the CBS anchor, will be reporting from Times Square in New York City.
Who Is Performing On NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE’S BIG BASH?
The special will feature close to 50 performances!
In addition to her co-hosting duties, Elle King is also set to perform with Thomas Rhett, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Lainey Wilson. These artists are all confirmed to appear on the main stage at Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. The show will also feature performances from Trace Adkins, Grace Bowers, Kane Brown, Jackson Dean, Old Dominion, HARDY, Elle King, Cody Johnson, Parker McCollum, Megan Moroney, Brothers Osborne, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce, Blake Shelton, Trombone Shorty, Morgan Wallen, and Bailey Zimmerman. Viewers can also anticipate a special guest appearance from Tennessee Titan and five-time all-pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and actor/comedian Rob Schneider. Additionally, Dustin Lynch will deliver a live performance from Times Square in New York City.
NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE’S BIG BASH will also feature a few all-star collaborations including Lainey Wilson with Grace Bowers and Jackson Dean, Brothers Osborne with Trombone Shorty, and Blake Shelton with Trace Adkins.
Can You Attend NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE’S BIG BASH?
The main stage performances on New Year’s Eve in Nashville are free and open to the public. This is where the infamous Music Note Drop takes place at midnight along with fireworks.
Executive produced by Robert Deaton and Mary Hilliard Harrington in collaboration with the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp, NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE’S BIG BASH will be directed by Sandra Restrepo.

We will celebrate 50 years of the iconic Southern Rock Band Lynyrd Skynyrd, the skyrocketing Lainey Wilson and Country Music Superstar Thomas Rhett with over a dozen artists and special guests still to be announced,” Deaton stated. “Nashville is quickly becoming THE destination for New Years Eve, and we are honored that CBS wants to help us continue to show off our music and incredible city with a new multi-year deal!”
