Noah Hicks will always be a small-town boy at his core, and he’s proved that time and time again through his songs that take listeners on a trip down some open gravel roads like the ones he grew up on in Carrollton, GA. With his newest release, “Nights Memories Stories,” the emerging singer/songwriter pays a special tribute to his roots as he sends a heartfelt message to the magic of small-town Saturday nights.

Hicks admitted to Country Now during a conversation at Live In The Vineyard’s Elevation that when the song penned by Michael Tyler, Cole Taylor, Jacob Rice and Thomas Archer was presented to him, he got emotional because it hit so close to home.

“I did not write this song, but when my publisher pitched it to me, I’m pretty sure I started tearing up because I was like, man, this feels like the stuff I want to sing about, and what I want to push as an artist.”

Throughout the mid-tempo tune, Hicks uses his twangy vocals to reflect on the power that country living has on its residents who tend to make their best memories on Saturday nights. While the details of these good times may fade or change over the years, he still finds so much joy and comfort in reliving them again and again when he’s back in that rural setting.

Hicks recreated that feeling by taking a trip back to his hometown to film the Edgar Evan directed music video under the Friday night lights of his alma mater. While roaming around the empty football field, he’s reminded of the abundance of cherished memories he’s made in that exact spot over the years.

“Turnin’ nights into memories/ Memories into stories/ One beer’s truth is another beer’s lie/ Turnin’ nights into memories/ Memories into stories/ Living that long week long neck life/ Any given town/ I can see it right now/ Country boys and girls/ Circled ’round a step side/ Turnin’ nights into memories/ Memories into stories/ Story of a small town Saturday night,” Hicks sings on the chorus.

“Nights Memories Stories” serves as a follow-up to his duet with Shaylen titled “Second Time Around.” This track offers fans a glimpse into Hicks’ evolving songwriting career as it offers a bit of a different sound to what fans are used to. He revealed that on his next project, listeners will get to see the growth of his artistry through a broad variety of sounds, ranging from grittier rock tunes to tender piano ballads.

Since signing a record deal with Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment through a joint venture with Red Creative Records earlier this year, Noah Hicks revealed he has written over 80 songs. “Every day is a song,” he noted.

“We’re writing for a project. I’ll have two singles out by the end of the year,” he added. “I’m writing some of the best music that I’ve ever put my hands on. I feel like I’m really growing so much as an artist,” he told us. “I’m really trying to lean into that and know that the next step is coming up. 2025 is going to be a huge year. 2024 was a big year for me but 2025 will be even bigger for Noah Hicks and the music, so I’m excited.”
