Luke Combs’ tender tune “Front Door Famous” from his Fathers & Sons project is being used as the soundtrack to a new trend circulating TikTok that will have you reaching for the tissues. The videos capture the heartwarming moment a lineman returns home to his family after his almost month-long deployment to states impacted by Hurricane Helene.

This trend started as a result of the thousands of linemen that were called from all over the world to help the communities who continue to face devastation in wake of the storms. After being away for so long and putting in countless hours each day, these workers are returning home to find that their spouses, children and pets are overjoyed to see them.

With their help, people’s lives are being saved as they are pulled out of the wreckage and power is being restored in surrounding homes and businesses.

“When daddy is finally home after 3 weeks 🙌🏻🙌🏻,” one user wrote in the caption of their video, showcasing a son jumping up and down in joy as he watches his dad pull into the driveway. He and his dog quickly run towards the sound of the truck’s horn and jump right into the lineman’s arms.

Another user said, “Hubby is finally home from storm!! We missed him so much🥹🩷🩷🩷” while the clip found a mom and daughter giving the father and a husband a dose of much-deserved love.

Each video perfectly follows the narrative in Combs’ song as he sings, “Walking through the front door/ Hearing “Daddy” at the top of his lungs/ With his feet on the wood floor/ Runnin’ up to give me a hug/ Yeah, that’s what it’s all for/ And the spotlight can’t replace it/ In a heartbeat, man, I’d trade it/ ‘Cause it ain’t got nothing on bein’ front-door-famous.”

Using “Front Door Famous” for these videos is especially meaningful as Combs is a native of North Carolina, one of the states that was greatly impacted by the storms.

This song starts the country star’s Fathers & Sons album off on an emotional note as it depicts the special moment a dad returns home from work each day to find his young child racing down the stairs to greet him. As the story goes on, Combs reveals how difficult it is to walk right back out the door that next morning, knowing that they will have to spend more time away from their child.

Combs penned the track with Blake Densmore, Nick Columbia, Noah Thompson and Robert Snyder. Being a father of two young kids, the “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma” singer knows this feeling well, as does co-writer and American Idol alum, Thompson, who often shares a glimpse into life with his son, Walker Lee.

On October 26, Luke Combs will come together with Eric Church, Billy Strings, and James Taylor or “Concert for Carolina,” a special benefit show that aims to raise critical funds for the relief efforts in North Carolina following the devastation of Hurricane Helene.

After hearing of the tragedy that struck the Southeast as a result of the storm, several country stars including Combs and Church pledged to do what they could to bring relief to the affected communities, especially within their home state, North Carolina. Combs was first to speak out as he took to social media to let fans know that he and his team were working on “something really special” and he is certainly expected to deliver with this upcoming show.
