Noah Thompson has been fairly quiet on social media over the last few months and now fans understand why. According to his latest update shared via video message on Instagram, Thompson has officially parted ways with his record label, 19 Recordings, and is now continuing his career as an independent artist.
“I’m excited to officially announce that I have chosen to continue my career as an independent artist. I feel like I’ve been writing some of the best songs in my career, and I really can’t wait for y’all to hear some of these new things that I’ve been working on,” he said in the clip.
New Music On The Way
Back in August, the Season 20 American Idol winner teased that he was back in the studio and recording new music for his listeners. With his latest announcement, it seems that fans will start getting a taste of these unreleased tracks that he’s been working on “very, very soon.”
The forthcoming new music drop will mark Thompson’s first release since his debut EP, Middle Of God Knows Where, which was unveiled in June of 2023.
Thompson Has A Cut On Luke Combs’ Next Album
The former construction worker turned rising country star went on to share another very exciting announcement with fans. He revealed that he had a hand in co-writing the song, “Front Door Famous,” which Luke Combs ended up cutting for his new Fathers & Sons album coming Friday, June 14.
He continued, “I’m also very excited to announce that a song that I wrote is being released by Luke Combs next Friday song called ‘Front Door Famous.’ So make sure y’all go check that out too, and I hope y’all love it.”
“Front Door Famous” opens the album on an emotional note as it depicts the special moment a dad returns home from work each day to find his young boy racing down the stairs to greet him and how difficult it is to walk right back out the door that next morning.
Being a dad himself to a three-year-old boy named Walker Lee, it’s very fitting that Thompson would take part in a project that is solely influenced by a father’s love for his son. Fans got a glimpse into this upcoming 12-track collection of tunes with Combs’ latest release, “The Man He Sees In Me.”
Thompson concluded his video message by letting his listeners know that he is “far from done” and that “this is just the beginning.”
“I love y’all very much,” he added.
Noah Thompson’s next show is scheduled to take place tomorrow, June 14 in his home state of Harrodsburg, KY.
