Randall King is engaged!
The country star proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Brittany Warthan, during a recent trip to Hawaii – and she said “yes.”
The couple announced the news on social media alongside a series of stunning engagement photos.
“Doin my best to get the right things right, it starts with you. 4 years in the making, a lot of growing, a lot of learning, and a whole lotta love to get us here and I wouldn’t wanna be anywhere else,” King shared in his heartfelt caption. “Grateful for the love you give, the grace, the patience, the laughs, the joy, and now the years to come. There’s a lot of miles in front of us and I want only you by my side to take this life head on and make it ours. Love you to the moon bb!”
According to a post from Warthan, the engagement took place on her birthday, making the celebration even more special.
“Not your average birthday and def not your average Monday.. but def tops all the ones that came before..It couldn’t have been more perfect i love you Randall King and I’m over the moon to be upgraded to FIANCE .”
King and Warthan have been dating for four years and she has been an inspiration to him in many ways. His song, “Green Eyes Blue,” was written about her even before they were dating.
“I wrote that about my girlfriend, Brittany, before we were dating and I was still pretty wild I remember being at her place and I could see that her heart was really in this and I wasn’t quite there yet. And I just remember going, ‘Man, I just hate to make her green eyes blue.’ And we started dating and decided I’m leaving all that behind. This is where I’m at. That’s my dedication. I’m dedicated to her,” he previously told us.
Fans may also recognize Warthan from King’s “You In A Honky Tonk” music video, which was shot at Cahoots Dancehall & Honkytonk in Lebanon, Tennessee.
King will return to the stage following his Hawaiian engagement with a show on Friday, Nov. 1 at Hurricane Harry’s in College Station, Texas.
This past summer, King released “I Could Be That Rain” to country radio. The song was the most-added track at country radio upon impact.
“Man, I’m pumped! I’ve been eager, and patient, for this opportunity my whole career and I am ready to ride those air waves,” King shared at the time. “It’s something I’ve dreamed of since I was a kid, listening to Strait and Alan on the airwaves, mimicking they’re singing in the side mirror from the passenger seat. This is ‘all I’ve ever wanted, so I’m chasing that neon rainbow’ now!”
“I Could Be That Rain” is featured on King’s latest album, Into The Neon.
