The Voice season 19 finale is here! After performing a cover of Jamey Johnson earlier in the show, Ian Flanigan took the stage once again with his new original song, “Never Learn.”

The meaningful track was co-written by 2020 BMI Songwriter of the Year Ross Copperman, who admitted he “cried” the first time he heard Flanigan sing.

“Your voice is such a friendly monster,” coach Blake Shelton told Flanigan, who he labeled a “once in a lifetime vocalist” following his blind audition.

The New York native’s performance of the timely tune impressed fans and coaches alike.

“What a great song to choose,” John Legend shared. “I think all the parents out there can relate to that sensibility…”

“Your voice is so majestic and larger than life,” Blake gushed. “It gives you the natural ability that people really listen to what you’re saying, because they want to hear your voice. And it really lends itself to a great song like that.”

Earlier this season, Flanigan performed covers of artists such as Travis Tritt, Luke Combs and Bob Dylan.

Fans can vote for Ian Flanigan by visiting the official The Voice voting website, casting a vote via The Voice‘s official app or voting from their Google Assistant. There is a limit of 10 votes per artist per method.
