Team Blake’s Jim Ranger and Ian Flanigan will advance to the next round of NBC’s The Voice.

The news was revealed during the live results show on Tuesday evening, which narrowed the remaining 17 contestants down to just nine.

Standout contestant Ian Flanigan, who has previously wowed viewers with performances of songs like Luke Combs’ “Beautiful Crazy” and Zac Brown Band’s “Colder Weather.”

Next up, Blake Shelton was faced with a tough decision to choose between Jim Ranger, Worth the Wait, Sid Kingsley or Taryn Papa.

“Can I get five minutes on the clock here?” Shelton joked. He went on to compliment each of the remaining contestants.

After admitting making this decision “absolutely sucks,” Shelton made his choice and it was Jim Ranger.

“Jim, my gosh, you literally are one of the greatest vocalists that I have ever worked with,” he gushed.

Jim Ranger and Ian Flanigan will return to The Voice stage next Monday, December 7.
