After over five years of dating, The Cadillac Three’s Neil Mason and Chelsea Eager are married!
According to People, the couple tied the knot on Saturday (Jan. 4) in Eager’s hometown of New Braunfels, Texas. The pair exchanged vows at Gruene Mansion Inn Bed & Breakfast, a hotel owned by Eager’s parents, in front of just 40 guests. Among the attendees were Mason’s bandmates, Jaren Johnston and Kelby Ray, as well as singer/songwriter Austin Jenckes.
The intimate affair featured a mariachi band and a classic garden vibe complete with green and white florals and papel picado, which accorind to People, is “a popular Mexican craft in which elaborate designs are cut into sheets of tissue paper.”
After the ceremony, which was officiated by Eager’s father, the newlyweds shared their first dance to “Here Comes My Girl” by Tom Petty.
Guests enjoyed a family-style dinner, which included fajitas, enchiladas, rice and beans and Mexican street corn. For dessert, the couple opted for carrot cake and Italian crème cakes from a local bakery in New Braunfels.
Following their Texas wedding, Neil and Chelsea will enjoy some downtime in Tulum, Mexico.
“With Neil on the road the majority of the year we knew we wanted somewhere quiet and private,” Eager told People of their honeymoon. “Being able to hang out with no distractions is very important so we really get to reconnect and be best friends and lovers. Tulum is a quick direct flight from Austin and then we just have a short boat ride to our island! I am definitely most excited about the privacy and downtime.”
Neil Mason and his bandmates are scheduled to hit the road on January 23 for The Cadillac Three’s 2020 tour. On February 7, the trio will release their much-anticipated new album, Country Fuzz.
