Thomas Rhett is celebrating his 13th career No.1 single as “Look What God Gave Her” sits atop both the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase Airplay charts this week. The song and accompanying music video celebrate all women, but most importantly, the girls in his life – his wife, Lauren, and his two daughters, Willa Gray and Ada James.
Although life is a bit hectic for Rhett, who balances being a father and husband with his red-hot career, he admits the idea of expanding his family is always on his mind.
“These last couple months have been insane, like, all over the place…” the superstar recently shared with ABC News Radio. “It is very stressful, I feel like, to travel with your kids and still know that, like, you’re waking up at six and you’re also playing a show at night. So in that aspect I’m going, ‘I love my two kids and I’m kind of content.’”
Rhett may be content at the moment, but there’s a part of him feels like his family isn’t complete just yet.
“If we stopped having kids now, I know I’d wake up at 45 and go, ‘We should have had five more,’” he explained. “Because I really do want to be able to sit at a Thanksgiving or Christmas table with the most gigantic family on the planet.”
While they’ve already made it through the difficult baby stages with their girls, Rhett feels like they are more than prepared to start over.
“They say that going from one to two is the hardest thing you’ll do as a parent…” he said. “But going from two to three and maybe four and five, like I’m just gonna embrace it and know that, like, we can accomplish anything.”
“Because there is nothing more fun than being around my children,” he added. “And so I can only imagine it gets more fun the more that you have.”
So are Thomas and Lauren ready for more “Life Changes?” Only time will tell.
