Tyler Farr has shared a positive update with fans following a medical emergency that took place less than a week ago and forced him to cancel a performance that night.
The country singer was originally scheduled to perform at the Goshen Stampede in Connecticut on Saturday, June 13. Just hours before he would have taken the stage, event organizers shared a statement on social medial stating he would no longer be appearing as he had been involved in a “motor vehicle incident on his farm.” At the local hospital, Farr was diagnosed with a “severe concussion.”
“We appreciate everyone’s understanding and will share additional event information as it becomes available. We wish Tyler a speedy recovery,” the statement continued.

Organizers confirmed that David Foster and the All Stars be replacing him on stage that night.
“The Goshen Stampede is full steam ahead with all events, and we’re excited to get down, dirty and country with two huge rodeos, truck pulls, monster trucks, great food, carnival rides and family fun! Gates open at 11 a.m. today. Let’s rodeo!” they concluded.
At the time, Tyler Farr reshared the Instagram post from Goshen Stampede, but he did not make his own statement on the matter.
Today, June 18, he returned to social media to share what really happened and how his recovery is going. The “Redneck Crazy” singer began by thanking all his friends, family and fans who sent him prayers, supporting messages during this time. He then reveals the extent of the accident that took place amid a writer’s retreat.
“I was unresponsive for about two minutes, was doing a writer’s retreat and buddy of mine was driving a pickup truck. I was on the tailgate. It was an accident. It wasn’t nobody’s fault. Believe it or not, it was not mine because that was the first thing I asked when I became responsive,” Farr explained. “It was just a kind of a freak deal, pothole riding on a tailgate. I was in the middle, had nothing to hold onto. What I was told, that’s what happened.”
While some great songs were written that weekend, according to the singer/songwriter, he was disappointed to have to cancel the show in Connecticut and made sure to apologize to anyone who was hoping to see his set that night.
It appears that Farr is definitively on the mend because he shared plans to fly out to California for the The Boots & Brews Country Music Festival in Morgan Hill on Saturday, June 20.
Other acts on the lineup that night are Jordan Davis, Gretchen Wilson and Caiden Wallace.
“I love country music. I’ll keep saying that till they put me in the ground. We love you,” he added in conclusion.
Tyler Farr has a slew more shows on the calendar for 2026. A complete list of upcoming performances can be found on his official website.
