It looks like talent runs in Carrie Underwood’s family.
The superstar brought her Cry Pretty Tour 360 to her home state of Oklahoma on Thursday (Oct. 24) for a show at Tulsa’s BOK Center and she welcomed her mom, Carole, to the stage to sing a duet with her during the concert.
As she has on each stop of the tour, Underwood invited someone to join her in singing “The Champion,” this time, however, it was her mom and she absolutely crushed it.
Lucky for fans, someone captured it all on video and Underwood shared it for all to see on Instagram.
In the clip, Underwood welcomes Carole to the stage, saying, “My champion – MOM!” Just then, Carole rises up from below the stage and doesn’t skip a beat as she raps along to Ludacris’ verse of the song.
“Nailed it! I kept trying to keep her on track! ? At the end she said “Did I do OK?” Who knew Mom could rap,” Underwood wrote, adding, “#MyMomsCoolerThanYourMom.”
She also shared a photo of their epic on-stage moment with the caption, “Got to share the stage with this amazing champion tonight! Of course, I’m talking about my mom! She crushed it!”
Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty Tour 360 wraps October 31. After that, the current CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee will return to Nashville to prepare to host the CMA Awards for the 12th consecutive year, this time with special guest hosts, Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton.
