Country hitmaker Chris Young pulled off an epic Christmas surprise for his dad when he presented him with a brand new Chevrolet truck on Christmas Day.
Young documented the emotional moment on social media with a video of his dad seeing the truck in the driveway for the first time.
“My dad has been driving the same truck for well over a decade,” Young captioned the clip, which is set to Michael Bublé’s version of “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas.” “I decided he needed a new one this year. I love you dad!”
At the sight of the new truck, Young’s dad appears to get emotional as he embraces Young for a prolonged hug.

Young has never been one to hide his love for his dad, even though he’s technically his step father. For Young, it’s not about the DNA.
“He’s just an incredible man, I’m so lucky that that guy is my dad,” Young told New Country 96.3 earlier this year. “Basically, from the time he came into my mom’s life, my life, my sister’s life… He’s always treated me like a son. It’s pretty incredible to have somebody that you look up to and that you’ve got a lot of respect for. He and I kinda have this relationship where sometimes we’ll kinda rib each other back and forth a little bit. I don’t know that there’s a whole lot of people that I respect more than I do him.”
Young’s dad, and several other members of his family, guest starred in his music video for “Voices.” Released in 2010, the clip features his dad, mom, grandparents and more.

Chris Young enjoyed yet another wildly successful year as he closed out 2021 with the year’s most-played song at country radio: “Famous Friends” with Kane Brown.
“It’s pretty incredible when you get to write/record/produce a song that not only makes people want to sing along with you at concerts, but also becomes the most played ‘Billboard’ country song of the entire year,” Young shared earlier this month. “I couldn’t be any happier that ‘Famous Friends’ will go into the record books for this, and that I get to celebrate it alongside my buddy Kane Brown.”
The track is featured on Young’s latest album of the same name, which was released in August.
